1 pound, 400 gram bag of 100% Chinese Smilax Rhizome, also known as Sarsaparilla Root. Tu Fu Ling is the name of Pin Yin. Smilax Glabra; Rhizoma is the botanical name. Root pieces are cut evenly, about 1/8-inch thick. The rounds are irregularly shaped and the pieces range from 1/2" to 2" wide. Sarsaparilla root has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine as an herb that clears heat and resolves toxicity. Reduces toxicity and moisture, which will help support joint function and support normal urination. It also helps to clean humid heat from the skin. Smilax enters the liver and stomach channels.
