Blue OxBXW0850 TrackPro Weight Distribution Hitch - 8,000 GTW/800 TW

Took 2 people less than an hour to install. Makes towing a lot easier, especially on a windy day.

We picked up our 23 foot airstream and drove about 40 scary miles home. The trailer was all over the place. We could not drive past 50mph.Ordered this blue ox before our next trip. What a difference! At one point I was driving almost 80 (slowed way down once I realized my speed).Our new Toyota Sequoia pulls the airstream beautifully now.We won’t tow without the blue ox.As a near 50 year old female, I am able to install and hitch up on my own. So, super easy!

The product works as advertised. Take a little extra time if you’re installing it yourself to make sure you get the frame mounts in the correct spot. The manufacturer says you need at least 4 inches of the spring bar on the saddle but if you get the saddle too far forward you’ll start to hear noises from binding. Installation isn’t terribly difficult you just need a little time and a level surface.Stability with the weight distribution hitch improved dramatically and my camper sways vastly less than it did. I used the 800 pound spring bars knowing that I had a maximum possible tongue weight of about 760 pounds. After having tried this weight distribution hitch I would not go down the road again without it my truck rides level my camper wage level I have vastly better sway control investor better handling overall. Certainly well worth the money.

Unfortunately the frame brackets twist which will cause a lot of problems. Depending on frame height, the bolt may be closer preventing the rotation, but for me with a 5-1/8” frame I have to drop the bolt one hole lower allowing for more rotation even with bolts extremely tight. This unfortunately caused some damage to my aluminum frame as well as the track pro bars and l-brackets. I contacted Blue Ox and they confirmed rotating on the frame is normal and was told “sorry, try tightening the bolts more”. There are no torque specs in the manual and they could not provide any. I asked about different brackets or anything they could do I was told “no, sorry”. I told them I was outside of my return windows and I now have a $700 paper weight, the response I got was yet again “sorry”. Horrible customer service and poor product. I was excited for this system but I will have to look at other options

While I want to love this product, I have had way to much trouble with it. I had an RV dealer (RV One) install it and that was a mistake; their tech had no clue what he was doing, thankfully I looked over the instructions. BlueOx contacted me upon bringing my concern about the install up and they were supposed to follow up with me; they never did.The bolts that hold the bracket to the frame do not mention the torque required, unlike the others. Without enough torque the bracket slides around, with too much torque the plate starts to bend. Eventually with some JB Weld, it works.At the end of the day there are better products out there. While the company reached out to try and resolve the issue, they failed to follow through with their promise.

This hitch is great! Really easy to set up and it makes a great difference hauling a camper. Glad I made this purchase.

Easy to install. Didn't have to drill any holes in the camper.

Bought a new trailer and put these on in the dealership parking lot. You do need to lock them down with loctite because they will shift. Used them 200 miles leveled out the truck and tracked well.
