Good value. Works for me but note write spped listed is 1/4~1/3 normal 2.5" SSD in USB case & my experience is actually slower by 5~10x compared to generic 2.5" SATA SSD in USB 3 SATA case.

A little more than a year ago I had bought a Samsung T3 external SSD, and it worked so well that I decided to buy another, only to find that they had discontinued that model and the new model was about 50% more expensive. So I decided to give this drive a try, based on reviews from some tech sites, and the price was good at the time.I really regret doing this:First, the write speeds are actually slower by far than my WD and Seagate high capacity external drives. The maximum write speeds I got were in the area of 35 MB/s, while I easily get 40 to 50 MB/s with non SSD externals using the same laptop.Second, the item was advertised as new, but the entire top surface was badly scratched, as though it was either used or had been on display, and then repackaged for sale online.Amazon's customer service was absolutely no help, even though I offered to send them photographs of the item. They just stuck with the standard line about 'policy', which is really of no use to me - actually just makes me a bit angrier.So bottom line, if you're looking for an external SSD, avoid this. At least that way, someone would have benefitted from my mistake.
