I couldn't find much information on it online, so buying it was a bit of a risk. And it was well worth it. The battery life lasts a very long time (24 hours consecutive or so), and can be plugged in 24/7 without fear of damaging the life. At first, the speakers sounded almost a bit tinny or fuzzy. That soon faded a few songs in, and has never returned. The system lights up and can pulse with the bass, or turned off completely.And the bass hits HARD. I've tried it across all sorts of genres. Everything from rap, metal, electronic, country. It all sounds clear and the bass is powerful without muffling the sound itself. Furthermore, it can get insanely loud. I keep mine at 14/28 and just adjust my iPod as needed. It sound great outdoors and even better in my card.The only real downsides are that this thing is heavy, and that the bass cannot be adjusted. However, both have easy workarounds. For the weight, it has three handles (two on the sides, one on top), and it can easily be carried in one hand (it weights roughly 30 pounds according to the instructions). And for the bass, using an equalizer on your device can change it. But again, the bass is never overpowering the sound.Overall, I would easily recommend this speaker. I personally use it in my car since my speakers are fairly weak. And as I said, it sounds amazing no matter where it is.

Sounds EXELLENT! The red flashing light is ok but would be better if it changed colors. I've purchased separate strobe lights and will attach one to each side of the speaker. It's so good that I will be purchasing another one and using them together. Once I have everything set up I'll post a sample clip here on Amazon. Most speakers have a bad distortion when you max out, not tho bad boy. I still have a Motorola 120 GB Zune which plays perfectly but also Bluetooth from my tablet, which I'm using an old Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Tablet. My setup is so cool 😎 and easy to use that the GF is asking for hers, lol 😂! She loves to do Karaoke so we have a setup so she can practice. And of course when she has parties she comes stief it. Hey when Momma is happy, etc, etc.

Tons of bass and air-moving volume. I'm using it in my two cars as a sub-woofer and it's working perfectly so far from the 12v power. The thing must be kept from filpping over as it is front heavy, I use bungee cords. The car's stereo system runs indepent of it and I balance the Ion's volume by using a cord intended for headphones which has a volume control built in it. The source of my music is usually my Ipod, from there a splitter cord, and...I'll make a video of the set up soon and put it on youtube "using the I.R.W. as a car subwoofer"..or similar tittle. There are features missing from this unit which are common on the competition's which is why I don't give it 5 stars. That is it can not be paired with another Ion speaker for stereo, it does not have RCA inputs or outputs, would also be nice if there was a remote control. The light show is a positive attraction but it is a bit mono tone in that it only offers one color (red). This speaker is LOUD and that is great, which is why it is in so many vids on youtube as being one of the loudest. I'd like for this product to be continued but with the features I mentioned. I first tried an Ion RK7 (similar in size, weight and wattage)..which was only about 1/10th as loud as this is, I am so glad I decided to try this speaker, I want to start a cult of worshipers!

Just received this magnificent speaker system on 12/5/16 Checked out every feature and am very pleased with the performance of this outstanding unit. As for any of you who have complained about the battery not having a long life span. As with any rechargeable battery lead acid or lithium ion eventually they will lose the ability to hold a charge. However this well designed units battery is replaceable via access panel on right hand side bottom of speaker. Installation is very easy and does not require sending unit in for replacement. I've already ordered several replacement batteries in anticipation of the need for replacement several months or perhaps a year down the road. These batteries are very inexpensive only about 20 dollars and are available from ion audio. They can be ordered directly by phone the number is included in the instructions with the unit. In my expert opinion if you want Superior Sound Quality for anticipated years of sound pleasure. Buy This Speaker System

I was very excited for this speaker. I have owned several Ion Block Rockers and have been very happy with their products until now. First off the unit I received could not hold a charge enough to even complete one song. I did try using it plugged in and at first the sound was loud and good. Than at lower volumes I was hearing a bit of muffling out of the left speaker. What I came to find out is that one speaker doesn't even work. You think its working because the other speaker is loud and its vibrations cause the non-working speaker next to it to vibrate and look like its putting out sound. If you turn it down low enough and listen closely you can see its not putting out any sound at all.I contacted Ion three different times and three different people to try to get a warranty fix or replacement, being only 2 days old. I had to forward my receipt and info three times and than was told they can't do anything because I am not in the continental US. Luckily Amazon has a great return policy and will pay the expensive shipping to send this back.I wanted to like this unit, but it has some issues. I think most people wouldn't even catch a non-working speaker since with just one working speaker it puts out a lot of sound. I was excited when price dropped by over $100, but not I see they are just trying to get rid of bad units.Be careful and check your units to make sure they work well before Amazon's return window is over.
