The Dalai Lama's Big Book of Happiness: How to Live in Freedom, Compassion, and Love
B**.
Well worth reading for anyone who seeks peace
The message is clear that compassion, understanding, and respect for all despite differences in culture and spiritual choice are the hallmark of a world which has found a way to peace without using violence to achieve it. The speeches are human, compelling, and well worth reading.

Happiness is the purpose of life
What is the purpose of life?Happiness. The Dalai Lama various discussions reveal various themes — compassion, forgiveness, trust, honesty, actions based on love.A rejection of hate, revenge corruption and dishonesty. How do we face the problems, crimes, terrorism and pain with happiness? My favorite passage answered “if there is a solution then don’t worry, but if there is no solution, then don’t worry because there isn’t a solution.” 😅So overcome the porn else we face with discipline and hard work.Overall embrace love, cooperation reject the negative feelings and thoughts while avoiding being attached to any particular thing.Balance.

Knowledge of the soul in a world that works against happiness on the surface
His words cross all boundaries of belief. But believe you must, and what is to this we are to read and believe? Knowledge of the soul in a world that works against happiness on the surface, but if we approach with the same humility and eagerness, even at his advanced age, if we challenge our selves to learn love, to be earnest in the presence of happiness, then why hold back? Why confine it to a specific religion? You can be enlightened and still have your Old and New Testament. Ignorance is the turning away from where our souls come to life. Don't be ignorant. Learn. We are never too old and certainly never too young to fill our hearts and minds with a will to believe in the art of happiness, not the evil art of war.

Dalai Lama Essays
This book is a compilation of his speeches. So some of the chapters are similar. I would recommend it, however expect duplication of thoughts and principles.

Lovely Wisdom from a Lovely Man
As a collection of speeches to audiences around the world, this book reminds me of a speech I was privileged to hear. The Dalai Lama is a smiling, charming messenger of Lovingkindness and Hope. I wish his playful charm came through more. . . But I am grateful for the Words.

Only okay.
Pretty disjointed, not as "together" as other things I've read that are attributed to him---that's obviously the fault of his editor/translator.
