Hollow Ceramic Fire Balls | Mixed Set of 18 | Modern Accessory for Indoor and Outdoor Fire Pits or Fireplaces – Brushed Concrete Look | Midnight Black

Before I got these, our fire pit had just lava rock. The flames would just come out of the rock, create some light and be gone. It looked nice but I was frustrated with how little heat it put out. I got these hollow balls to act as radiators to put out more heat. It really works. The flames channel through all the holes and the surfaces glows red, throwing off a lot more heat than before. I also tried the solid balls which are a lot less effective for heat output. Skip those if you want heat. The holes in the hollow balls are the key. Stack them wherever the flames are coming out so that the flames can lap the exposed faces of the balls. You want have red glowing surfaces facing outward toward you. Also, don't block the glowing surfaces by putting cold ones (not exposed to flame) in front of the hot ones. It takes a little fiddling to get a good arrangement.

I’ve bought multiple sizes and colors of these ceramic fire balls to use in both outdoor and indoor settings for multiple homes. I work in design and love using these because they add dimension and some color to the the more modern projects I’ve been working in. They are light weight and by far the best pricing I’ve found. Trick is to not put them directly on top of the fire source either in front or behind so the flame dances around them. Would be interested in trying out geometric versions in future too!

Love it, made my silly gas fire place look so much more modern and then silly fake logs , why Not add a touch of modern and classy look.

Make sure you get only the black ones that are hollow. The other colors (even gray) will have black marks on them almost immediately from the gas burning off. These heat up a room or patio much better than solid fire balls. they're great!

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect from these as I’d only seen them in fireplaces before and never been able to actually touch or hold one, but these are pretty awesome. I got the multi-size black style and although not all fit in our fireplace, we’ll use the extras in our outdoor fire pit and make use of them that way. I purposely got the black so I wouldn’t have to worry about smoke or soot marks when they burned. Really added a modern vibe to our indoor fireplace, which is exactly what I wanted. Yes they’re expensive, but in my opinion, totally worth it!

The media could not be loaded.  Based on another reviewer saying that the balls with holes help to radiate heat, I made my first purchase in October (4" size). Boy, was he right!! Without them, we'd have to sit closer to the fire pit to feel the heat. I made my second purchase a few weeks ago (3" size). I wanted to have different sizes, spread out over 2 fire pits. This fire pit gets SO HOT that it melted the fire-glass underneath it!!! So yes, I highly recommend this product!Fyi: In the video attached, you see only the 4" fire balls.

I’m very happy with this purchase. So many people have commented on how warm our fire pit is now, all because of these.I bought the black to avoid issues with scorch marks. I also bought too many… I planned to stack them as a pyramid as a way to get more warmth. Don’t. I ended up only using 5 of the 5” balls to cover my 15” burner. Stacking extra on top only blocked the heat from the lower balls.
