Perfect to turn a garage door, smart
Super easy to install. Got this to control my Garolla garage door.Switch 1 is connected to open amd switch 2is set to close.Configured to both Amazon's Alexa and hey Google.Only thing i had to do to make it more natural to speak to the assistant was to seet up a routine for "open garage door " instead of "open garage door open"Similar for close.Well worth the money

Simple Garage Door Controller...
I have a pair of recently installed electrically operated garage doors, which are operated by a 'bell push' type button. I have been looking for a smart switch which would provide a simple closed contact operation i.e., not one that passed mains electricity through it and would work with Amazon Alexa, this does both. You can adjust the duration of the 'contact close', which the device refers to as 'inching' from 1 second upwards, I use a 1 second duration, which works fine i.e., it closes the contact for 1 second then opens it again automatically. The instructions are simple to understand and it is quick and easy to pair with Alexa. You can use a standard 5 volt usb cable or a an open wire connection to any dc source between 7 and 32 volt. I use the Smart Life app to operate it as I already use the Smart Life app to operate other devices i.e., you don't need to download the Tuya smart app if you don't want to. I have nothing against the Tuya smart app, I simply didn't want another app on my phone. My only minor criticism and this is an Alexa criticism which is that it doesn't understand the instruction 'Open or Close' it only understand 'On' or 'Off', so the command is "Alexa Door 1 On" to open garage door one and "Alexa Door 1 On" to close the door.

Perfect Solution for sn old roller shutter
Having lost a fob to the garage door, I explored these wifi switches and I am so glad I did. 2 of these, total cost of just over £30, has now given me wifi control on my phone and it was easy once you identify the connectors you need to connect to (just one common and then the other 'Normally Open' connection to the relevant connector (up or down). Note, I needed 2 because my old garage door shutter (a 20 yr old elero) is controlled by a fob (no wall switch) but clearly it had to be switched somehow. I did explore the 'Meross' route but had a 'lazy' reply saying they couldn't confirm if their product would work. Having explored a bit further, I was convinced this would work and indeed it does perfectly. My type of roller shutter door has a connector strip numbered 10 through to 17, with 12 being the common, signalled by a continuous solid line underneath on the surface mounting, 13 to bring the door down, signalled by a 'switch' icon and 14 to lift the door up (signalled by another switch icon) all icons printed on the surface mount backing. The app was easy, just scanned the QR code and installed. I had no problem with needing to change router settings to 2.4ghz, it just worked first time for me. Set up both switches on the app, named one 'Door Open' and the other 'Door Close'. Changed the inching settings under the 'Timer' function to 2 seconds so the switch immediately turns off once activated, because on my old door the fob had just 2 buttons which needs the alternative button to be pressed to end the action of the first button. Finally put the wifi relays in a separate box under the current controls to prevent any issues by trying tocram in the relays to the original control box. So far so good, great value for money.

Good, small, wifi switch - with caveats
I bought this to install inside my garage door opener specifically because this can not just turn on or off like a normal switch, but because you can specify the duration - meaning you can send a momentary 'push' of a button. And it works perfectly. It was simple to install, and easy to configure. The only catch and caveat is that it really struggled to connect to my wifi to start with because my router (like most routers nowadays) is dual band and 2.4ghz plus 5ghz. This device simply would not connect and I was really struggling. I ended up having to disable the 5ghz band on my router just to set this device up, and then re-enabling the 5ghz band once it was setup.Once done, the device connects every time to 2.4ghz but it was a bit of a faff to have to reconfigure my main house router just to get a device to connect in the first place.Going forward, if the makers could supply this in 5ghz also it would solve this niggly issue.Overall, I'm happy with the device and it works perfectly for what I got it - just be aware that setup might be tricky if you have dual band wifi :)

Handy for automating non-wifi devices
Used for automating a PIR floodlighting controller (run on 12volts ) as a over-ride.Instructions are sketchy, but similar setup to other smartlife/tuya smart switches.Smartlife app found device pretty quick, and in turn linked to google home/alexa, so setup was straightforward.

Great device
Bought this to make my garage gates smart and be able to operate them remotely. The only reason for not giving it a 5 star review is that its not as easy as it seems to connect to gates.I bought an expert on automations to assist me and we had to use another two small devices to control power and not burning the motor. However, those devices are pretty cheap and now it got the job done.Very happy with the end result, it does what i needed it to do and with it being so cheap cannot really find any fault.

SO many uses
The media could not be loaded. SO.. used it to power my computer on and off. because it uses a Dry relay connection (it supplies no power from the relay) it allowed me to attached it via the to cables that run to the power button pins on the motherboard. in the Ewelink app i have it set to 1sec inching (momentary press). the Ewelink app allows Alexa/google control and so far it seems to be reliable. i have it powered by one of the computers own USB ports which stays live when the PC is powered down but left on at the wall. easy enough mod and now i have many ideas.

Clever gadget opens doors, literally
I'm completely new to electronics and I was able to successfully install the assembled device. The hardest part was soldering the connecting wires to our gate remote, the rest is straight forward. A couple of youtube videos later and I was able to command google to open the large gates to our home.
