Got this as one of the birthday gifts for my brother -- he's been wanting a cool letter opener in his office. He loves it!This is really stunning work, and I certainly give my appreciation to the creator of the piece. I've seen hand forged items go for several hundred dollars, and, considering not just the metal work here, but the leather work as well, this is just an incredible value at the price point offered.The work is flawless, the blade is razor sharp, the leather wrap and sheath are perfect -- this is just super quality, period!The look is very much near to fantasy almost, or certainly old world, and could compliment a kind of Celtic or Norse feeling, or just Medieval. My brother is very much into Norse stuff, and this fit right in to other kinds of pieces he has on display.The five star reviews are very much deserved here! My brother wants to check out the rest of what Toferner offers. Seems there used to be a website for their products, but it is not online at present, but thankfully it seems Amazon carries a few things.This is an excellent product, and if you're looking for something like this, for yourself or for a gift, you can't go wrong on this one.Highly recommend!!!

I got this amazing knife in two days and it's so much cooler than the picture shows. It's sharper than I thought it would be, and fits nicely in my hand. I got it to go with a costume as a bodice knife but it's so well made and interesting that I will utilize it for everything. It comes with a leather sheath that it fits tightly in - but it does not have loops or slits for a belt, not that it needs it, it's pretty small. Love it!

It is well made, the sheath is very unique as it is tooled with the shape of the knife. I use the knife as a dedicated package opener.

This is mostly a pro review as there is really only one con... my opener came with a fair amount of rust. As a carbon steel I expect it to rust with neglect but out of the box I would have preferred to see the tool excessively oiled versus rusty.It was a quick fix with a scour pad and some WD-40 but still.Now what far outweighs the bad is the good. This little guy is very neat and looks to be handmade as advertised. It works well, seems to be made with care and will definitely be a conversation for anyone that sees it.My conversations will be short. It was suggested on Amazon, I agreed and there it is. The maker is someone I have to look into but I believe they do a nice job and care about quality.As for me I would definitely buy it again and would definitely gift one however you should receive it first Incase there is some surface rust before giving it someone.Mine came sharp

I ordered this little knife to use as a letter opener, and I'm using it for so many things (opening mail and boxes, in my herb garden...). This is good quality, comes sharpened, the leather work is beautiful. The whole thing is beautiful. I am really pleased, and would definitely buy from this company again.

It's very dull, tears paper rather than a smooth cut. Great butter knife. Don't recommend this product.

This is pretty much a replica of a medieval carbon still knife. It is small but came sharp. Fits my hand as expected. I intend to use it and so far it does about what I'd expect from a small knife. I did treat the leather. There is no loop on the sheath but it fits in a pocket.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a wonderfully made knife. It is perfectly balanced and came very sharp. I love the length of the handle which is very nicely wrapped in leather and fits perfectly in my hand! Completely worth the price and arrived next day for me!💫
