Please Note the Size
Looked great, but unfortunately it was too large for the quilt I am sewing.

It takes some practice
I love this template, it does take some practice to get it down pat and I also found that adding a none slip backing to it helped a lot. I am still in practicing mod so do not have any pictures to show at this time. I will buy more the of the different templates and highly recommend them. They do work on my domestic machine, but my husband did have to grind off a portion on my ruler foot shank as there was a little nub of metal that would hit the template and make it hard to move smoothly, once the nub was gone it worked great. Since I am hoping to get a mid arm machine down the road, I like the thickness of these templates.

Thickness not for a high shank machine
This template is .125 inches thick. I have a high shank machine so this template when compared to other quilting rulers that I have is about half the thickness. I would not purchase again for my high shank machine. I believe the thickness of this ruler is more appropriate for a low shank machine. Will look for .25 inch thick rulers in the future for my high shank machine. Otherwise nice ruler. Love the swirl. I don’t recommend for high shank machines.

No instructions on how to use the item!
Very frustrating learning to use this ruler with no instructions. I had to practice and practice to get a basic understanding of how to use it to guilt a border on a queen size quilt..

Takes practice
I am a beginner with quilting and I really wanted these rulers to work. First thing I had to get was the right presser foot for my machine which is low shank. Most Presser feet that say low shank did not fit my machine. Once I got the right foot the rulers worked but, they are pretty flimsy alone and it’s difficult to get a good grip causing slipping out of the ruler. So I got the guide - the guide is just slightly too big for the ruler so it was still slipping out of the guide and all over- a little painters tape to hold the ruler in the guide did the trick. Finally they work great and I am really enjoying playing with them on my practice sandwiches. I think I’m ready to do my first real quilt with the rulers.

Could Be a Great Longarm Template
The template is as thick as my other longarm quilting templates but this is the only one of all the brands I have purchased that has an angled cut along the edges of the design. The rulerwork feet on my machines catch on the angled edge making it impossible to get accurate outlines. In fact the angled cut make the template dangerous to use because when the foot catches, it can make the template lift off the fabric. Even if I were to use this template with the machine that has a gliding foot instead of a hopping foot, the angled cut would still make lining up the stitching impossible because the template has to be turned over to the back side to make a continuous design. This could be a great template with the clearly etched lines for placement and the perfect thickness for use with longarm rulerwork feet but the angled cut makes it useless. I am returning it.
