Michel Mercier Sparkle Detangling Brush Pink - For Fine Hair

I am not one to typically leave reviews for products, but this is amazing. I have been fighting my 7 year old, who has hair down to her rear end, each time we have to brush out her hair. There are always tears and yelling and it was never pretty. I finally decided to give this a try after seeing the commercials for it several times. While it was $15 dollars, I figured if I could eliminate half the fighting, it would be worth it.I just brushed her hair with this thing (and it was a tangled mess after soccer practice) and she didn't flinch. I thought she was making it up, so I called her sister in who has regular hair. This brush is meant for fine hair, but I thought I would try it even though she has more normal hair than her sister (whose is baby fine). The other daughter didn't flinch. So, I tried it on mine. I have very thick hair. This brush worked with no problems and I didn't flinch. It is amazing.Now, It did break hair still. There was a lot of hair in the brush when I finished, but honestly, I don't really care. I brushed my 7 year olds hair in 5 minutes with no tears or fighting. Well worth it for me.

I don't know about other reviews that this. Rush doesn't work, maybe they night the wrong brush for their style of hair. I have very thick hair going natural and NOTHING has gotten through tangles like this brush did. I am 47 years old and I hated to shampoo my hair. I tried using no more tangled by Johnson and Johnson to help, but this here I can use it without problems. There is some hair that may come out in the brush, but nowhere near as much as before. I love this brush and I don't have to go to the salon to get tangled out of my hair

This is a great brush for kids with long think hair. My 6 year old has very long very thick wavy hair and would cry every time I would brush her hair. This brush has cut down on the tangles in her hair and doesn't seem to get stuck and pull as bad as a regular hair brush. I didn't think it was going to make a difference but she was begging me to buy this brush so for about $15 I thought it was worth a try. To my surprise it works very well, a lot less crying. The only thing I don't like about it is the handle, its a weird shape and is a clear plastic. I feel like if I drop this brush the plastic will crack, I wish the design of the handle was more sturdy... So we are just careful with it.

I purchased this brush for my 3 year old daughter after she kept seeing them on tv. She asked me to order her one because based on the commercial there wouldn't be anymore fussing and hurting when we brushed her really long thick hair. The color was very attractive to a child and makes it easy to find if you misplace your brush a lot like we do. However the over all design is a little lightweight and bulky for my hands, I would like to see a better designed handle. The use of the brush did cut down on the crying when we brush our hair drastically. She's complains that it hurts some but not near as much. Overall for the intended purpose of getting the tangles out without all the fussing I'd say it'd decreased the fussing / whining / crying by 75% since before we had it so for the price I paid I'd say it's worth it.*I paid full price for this product and the opinions stated are based on my use of it.

This brand of detangling brush is the very BEST I have ever run across. Found it by accident when my daughter was 2 years old and I think I saw some mention of it in some article. Bought my first one at Bed Bath Beyond, but it was getting rather worn out after 8 years. It really cuts through combing out tangled hair without the snagging and pulling that other brushes cause - even on those brushes that claim to be detangling brushes. Hope this company never goes out of business cuz this is the absolute best painless detangling brush. NOW, the brush handle itself could use some sleeker design, but the bristles - top notch!

I really like this brush and have ordered several. It gets the tangles out great. It is an attractive brush as well. Just be sure when you go to wash it to turn it bristle side down to dry as there are tiny holes where the bristles are that will collect water inside the brush. If not for this it would be a better product. I always make sure all water is out before using. A little worried about potential mold inside the brush. As I said before I have bought several in each color and each color is for a different thickness of hair. Not sure I will buy anymore because of the water issue but they really do get the tangles out and I will use them until I deem that the water issue has molded the inside of the brush. My oldest one which is pink [ had it about a year ] started smelling of mold so I trashed it. Guess I will do the same with the others...

I like it so much I bought a second one. I have one for home and one for my boyfriends home. My only pet pieve is how big it is. I wouldn't exactly like to carry it in my purse. I have curly thin hair. Other comes pull and tear my hear. You can even hear it tearing. This come goes right through really nicely. Once I go though it with this comb I then use my brush. My brush then doesn't tear anymore or have any problems. I don't have all that hair in my comb anymore like I used to from my hair being torn out. I am really happy with this brush.

I gave this item 1 star because it is a hairbrush, which is the only part of this items description that matches. This brush is hard plastic with slightly less hard plastic bristles. It has the kind of bristles that children's playset brushes come with(In fact, I added a pic of my daughter's Hello Kitty dollar store playset brush for comparison, and the bristles are longer) . It hurts to brush through even newly brushed straight hair, it was impossible and painful to brush either of my daughter's or my own thick curly hair. The bristles are so short they couldn't even penetrate the top layer of my youngest daughter's curls. I should have known better than to think that an as seen on TV product would do what it was advertised to do, but I at least thought it would be able to brush hair. No such luck.
