I rarely leave reviews but I am so happy with this product and was very impressed by South Shore's customer service that I felt compelled to leave a positive review. First of all, the packaging was solid, leaving no chance for damages. Although this is not solid wood, the quality of the product is very sturdy and will probably last a long time. Requesting replacement parts was also a breeze and it came right as scheduled. Folks, do NOT throw away parts F or U/U1. These are part of your dresser!

Receiving wasn't perfect, but the end product is exactly what I wanted.
It's not my first time buying and building South Shore furniture, so I would say I have realistic expectations of the product and a good understanding of how South Shore functions as a business. If you like the way a South Shore product looks and this is what is in your budget, buy it, if you can accept the fact that a bundle of fiberboard traveling from warehouse to your doorstep is sketchy, you are willing to take the time to work with South Shore's customer service in the case that something is broken or missing from your package, and you are willing to take the time to give your full attention to reading the instructions and building the product. As long as you can commit to those things, I highly recommend buying South Shore for the high style for the price point. If you can't, you need to see your local furniture store instead.I had a rocky start with the receiving part of this transaction, but that is partly the fault of the package handler (UPS) and partly the fault of how South Shore packages these things. Somewhere along the way my box took a good sharp hit on one of the corners, and one cardboard box and some saran wrap weren't enough to keep fiberboard safe. The damage was mostly cosmetic, but the damage affected 8 pieces total, including the top and bottom piece, so I reached out to customer service to replace them (and at the time, I only noticed the damage on 5 of the 8 pieces). It took a while to get my replacements, but I got them, and that was all that mattered to me. During construction, I unfortunately noticed small chips on all of the small drawers. I could have reached out again to replace those, but I just sighed, colored in the chips, and put it all together anyway. With that experience in mind, I would recommend that you consider ordering from South Shore directly. I got my replacement parts via FedEx, so I would assume that they use FedEx for all their deliveries. I have traditionally had better luck receiving delicate packages from FedEx than UPS.Even though I had a bad time receiving the product, that doesn't mean the product is bad, so I still very much recommend it if you want a dresser in this style. Once I had all my parts, putting it together was a breeze. I enjoy the dark gray color, the unique offset drawer handles, and the subtle texture. The metal slides for the drawers glide smoothly. I also really liked the different sizes of drawers, something I had a very hard time finding in other dresser options. The little bit of damage that I missed that I just hid with the stipple marker aren't obvious.

Beautiful product but terrible packaging
This is a very beautiful dressers. I ordered two nightstands and they are beautiful and quite durable for low cost. So I decided to buy the matching dressers. It was on sale! Can’t say no to that…Sadly it was quite too heavy. Too heavy for the person who delivered it. They literally dragged it to my apartment on the concrete. Decided it wasn’t worth going through the stairs to place it in front of the door. So they left it out in the rain. It was wet when I got home.I was sad to find many parts were damaged inside the box. The side/corners were well protected! I’m impressed with the packing part on that especially when the box on the side were severely damaged.I expected that sides and corner to be damaged. But it wasn’t. I was very surprised to see the center of pieces to be damaged. It bent or got dented badly… in the middle of the box? Maybe they need better cushion support for this.Anyways… I contacted Amazon to process the return. Because the box is severely damaged from the delivery… I can’t put pieces back together. So I have to schedule someone to awkwardly pick up every single pieces?… I asked if I could request pieces to be replaced. They said no. Only option was to return it. Disappointing. I saw the manual instructing to email. I don’t see phone number. I don’t like emails because I have enough junk emails. I just want to call and make the whole process quicker. But no phone number. So I went ahead and canceled the return process and just put pieces together. It is a beautiful dresser. I just had candles sitting on cracks and bends to cover up the damaged appearance. So far nobody noticed. I don’t care anymore.South Shore has always been my go to brand for cheap and durable furniture but this packaging was done poorly.

Not sure why people said it was a bad buy?
Well I ordered the product knowing I was taking a gambleven with all the bad reviews. They were WRONG!Well the box did arrive a little beat up, but on the box there was a big ol sign saying "if anything is damaged or missing, contact us for the parts". The sign on the box was nice, gave me the feeling that even if anything was missing, they would send it right away. When I opened the box, there was Styrofoam protecting the wood, it was all untouched. All the pieces were there, nothing was damaged at all! Some reviews are right, instructions were a little lacking, but it had enough to assemble everything correctly.Everything worked out perfectly; nothing missing, it came with spare assembly parts just in case (which I didn't need), and it looks nice too. This is well worth it for the money.I'd recommend it, which I have already to friends who were looking for a good dresser.

Very nice and sturdy dresser
We have put it together with my son for a couple of hours. It makes bedroom looks cozy and stylish. The instructions are the best one I've used so far. Just love it!

I like it, but it's wobbly
This item was packed well with foam bumpers in the box to prevent damage in transit. It's fairly easy to assemble, but it takes a long time with so many drawers. It looks great and seems to be good value for the money. I would have given it 5 stars as I did with the other pieces that I just bought, except that it seems a bit wobbly... it wants to tip backward or forward. I am hoping that once it is full of clothes and starts to sink into the carpet, this will not be a problem.

Excellent customer service for replacing parts
The instructions are fairly linear and the piece does not take much time or effort to assemble. Some panels were damaged at the edges and I had some missing hardware. Contacting southshore customer service allowed me to to get my parts within a few days to complete the project. It is not high end furniture, but for what it is made of, it is decent enough. It definitely does not seem like it will survive heavy use for long. Excellent value for your money.

The WORST SERVICE AND PRODUCT
This was one of the worst experiences I recieved the shipping box broken and the product was broken and to return it they charge us for the return. DON’T even think of buying this product the worst experience!!!

Ok for the $$
Like others have written, it is wobbly for a long and lowish dresser. I suppose it is good value for the money. This dresser is for a spare room so is ok. I would be concerned about it breaking down if used regularly however. The bottoms of the drawer fronts do not have a finished edge so "sawdust" from the particle board comes off. For some reason there were 2 little pieces made of mdf, the rest is particleboard. I would feel better about the sturdiness if all was made of mdf. I would have expected better quality since it was made in Canada. It does look nice and i like the grey colour.
