Cute Lovely Cartoon USB 2.0 Flash Drive 8GB Pikachu

I have ordered 3 of these flash drives in the past year. I also ordered 1 with a smiling, open mouth, which I believe is no longer available on Amazon, and it is listed as a separate product. Although Amazon asks us not to describe the seller in our product reviews, I must as the quality of the 4 flash drives varied with the seller.My first Pikachu flash drive was from ACCZILLA (June 22, 2013), and I loved it. After about a month of use, I had to come up with a quick gift for a fellow Pokemon lover. I formatted the flash drive, put some old home videos of us as kids on it, and gave it away. At that point, I realized this could be used as a neat gift for any Pokemon fans. I also wanted one for myself, so I ordered 3 more. One was from ACCZILLA (July 19, 2013) and one was from CoverMe (July 27, 2013). I also ordered the Pikachu drive with open mouth from flyfay (July 27, 2013).I can't speak about the quality of the opened mouth flash drive or the 2nd flash drive from ACCZILLA, as I gave them away almost immediately. However, I kept the flash drive from CoverMe, but it is significantly worse than the previous ones I received. The plastic molding was not as clean cut as the others. The actual flash drive was weakly attached to its Pikachu-bodied casing, which separated from the head after only a day or two of use. I could not pull it in and out of a USB port with the two separating. I had trouble getting the flash drive to be recognized by some computers, despite testing various file systems, and the drive stopped working entirely within a week.Sadly, I don't think ACCZILLA still offers this product, so cross your fingers and hope you get a good one, as the quality seems to vary dramatically. I give it 5 stars if it works as intended, and 2 stars if you get a badly made one because you can probably replace the actual flash drive with a better one and just use the plastic Pikachu case.

Well, I needed something to reinstall windows 7 pro that was at least a 4GB flash drive, and so I seen this was an 8GB flash drive.The price was so low that I thought sure why not and so I bought it.Already installed windows 7 two different times.It works great, and for the price you can't beat it.

I bought this flash drive after losing the one I had been using to carry around documents for my college classes. To say the least, it works beautifully and suits my purposes quite well. I have a Macbook Pro OS X 10.5.8 and haven't run into any problems so far, though I have yet to try it out with a PC.As far as aesthetic appeal, I would award it 4.5 stars. The body is shaped very cutely and the face is detailed in relative accuracy to the original character, Pikachu. The colors used to detail the face are crisp and do not bleed into one another, as is sometimes the case with low quality figurines. There is a minor inaccuracy, however, and that is the tail and back, which is not striped brown like the original character.To access the USB flash drive, the head can be removed from the body, which are made of a firm, soft plastic. The flash drive itself is wedged between two rectangular incisions, one inside the head and one inside the body. When the head is removed, the lower half of the flash drive remains wedged inside the body because the incision there is tighter. The figurine comes equipped with a ball and chain keychain attached to the head. If you're at all worried about losing it while using it as a keychain, I imagine it would take considerable force to pull the body off the head; even though the grip at the head is a little looser, it still does seem pretty secure.I did encounter a small issue: the USB flash drive was flipped when I received it initially; that is to say, the correct end was wedged at the tightly secure body and the incorrect end at the easily accesible head. The good news is the USB flash drive can be removed completely from both the head and body, so it can be flipped. This feature also makes cleaning very safe and easy.Unique, affordable, adorable, and practical: definitely a good buy!

Cute, nice gift for my sister in 7th grade. Four stars because it is quite difficult to pull off Pikachu's head to access the flash drive. I shaved away at the insides with a scissors to reduce the friction between Pika's body and the flash drive plug, but it would have been nice if I didn't need to do that.
