A MUST for all kitchen cupboards!
Currently these are priced at only £3.08 for a whole 500g!! Which I think is absolutely amazing and an unbeatable price, I have not found cheaper anywhere else!!I really do love these Soya chunks, they are SO easy to make and are so versatile. For all vegans, vegetarians or people who consume a lot of protein within their diet - this is something that is so handy to have in your cupboard for a quick and easy way of getting enough protein! So easy to make all that needs to be done is to soak it in water. I have multiple chronic pain conditions so on days where I am not so mobile and can barely cook I just make some noodles and put some of these chunks in the water with the noodles to soak with them. Please do keep in mind though that these Soya chunks do expand in size. But I find that they soak up flavour very easily. In comparison to something like tofu I personally think that Soya chunks are so much better at absorbing the flavours from the food that it is cooked within. Which results in them being a very tasty way of getting your protein intake. You add these to so much it's crazy. I only recently started using Soya chunks like this, I did look for them in the past and had a bit of trouble finding them but now that they are more available I couldn't speak highly enough of them!Another plus is that these are sugar and GMO free which gives me peace of mind. Also if you're in a sugar free or low carb diet I would also recommend them as they do not have a high amount of carbohydrates. Please let me know if this has been helpful for you! 🤍

Wonderful texture
These are the best meat substitute products I've used so far. I soak them in warm water with nutritional yeast flakes before use in recipes. After soaking the increased size and soft texture make them versatile to include in soups and stews or use simply with some vegetables as a quick stir fry. Good for people with chewing difficulties and they are easy to swallow. Good value.

Soak them overnight
These Soya Chunks are wonderful. I wish I had these back in the 80s when I first became a Vegan. I have a little trick to improve their texture and taste of the chunks. Nothing fancy. I recommend adding Vegetable OXO cubes when soaking them in hot water. Then when the water has cooled down pop it all in the fridge over night. I believe it improves the taste and the consistency. Also I usually include the oxo water the chunks were soaking in with the dish I am cooking

Surprisingly nice!
Got this as my usual supermarket delivery came without the meat substitute I’d ordered. I wanted something to put in a stew. I’ll be honest. These look awful and don’t smell particularly great BUT they’re actually pretty good! They don’t really taste of much at all but they soak up the flavours of whatever they’re in, which is great for stews and casseroles and hotpots and so on. The texture is quite good actually! Quite meaty, in fact. And there are easily enough in a packet for a few stews, so they work out as pretty good value for money. A pleasant surprise! I would, in fact, buy these again.

Great Product
I've been a veggie for over 45 years and I'd forgotten how good these TVP chunks are. They're flavourless on their own, but they'll take on the flavour of any marinade after a quick rehydration, and then you can put them into stews and curries... or on a bed of rice... so versatile. They're considerably cheaper than the ready made alternatives... Be adventurous with your marinades and give them a try... Recommended...

High protein
High protein and low calorie. Just. brilliant for a diet and taste great. Cook really fast in the airfryer as well. It's very dense in protein so would definitely recommend if you're on a diet especially. Very filling.

Excellent
Great non gm soya chunks just as we used to buy before everyone got into the act. Especially good in a slow cooker or pressure cooker as very tender and great texture when cooked. Does not need re-hydrating first if used in these. When I do re-hydrate I use vegetable stock to add some flavour.

So easy to use
Wow, just tried this out, soaked for 15 minutes, I would recommend 2 cups of hot water to 1 cup of plant protein, not the 7 to 8 suggested, but give it a try, see what works for you. Drained then added a touch of oil and schwarma seasoning, into the air fryer for 10 minutes, wow, tasted great, so easy to use. Really versatile, you can add whatever seasoning you fancy.Good value for money and loved the texture. Won't be long before I need to buy more
