Very nicely arranged instructional video, with emphasis on proper form and technique. This is almost like watching a textbook. Easy to navigate chapters let the student pick sections to focus on. I especially like the professionalism presented throughout the sessions, as Meade reminds the practitioner not to invade boundaries and be aware of how your client responds to your touch. This is what clearly separates this video from the myriad of offerings that focus on sensual and erotic massage. Not that those aren't great! But this is the type of instruction a beginner needs to learn the basics of massage you could perform on anyone. There are also tips on preparing your space, your oils/lotions, and yourself prior to performing a service. Very nice.

Was 95% identical to the routine we learned as LMT's. Makes a GREAT review for those who are a little out of practice at the moment.

Clear speech of therapist (Meade) was an asset. His body mechanics are great. I want to use this to train therapists and have a "take home" video for their home practice. I wished for more instruction on strokes, but I will do that with them.I am very picky about educational materials, and though I gave it 4 stars, I will use it in my training program.

This is a wonderful dvd for both the beginner and seasoned massage therapist. Great for beginners to see techniques they learned in class and to learn new ones. Equally great for seasoned massage therapists who want to review techniques.....there are so many wonderful and relaxing massage techniques to use/remember during a session! Meade is a fantastic instructor.

Nothing on here you can’t get free on the internet. Waste of money

Bought my wife a massage table and I got this CD to learn how to do it. It may not be the spa at the Ritz, but my wife enjoys the massages I give her almost as much and a lot more often. It isn't that hard to learn to give a fair massage if you watch this CD. With a little practice you'll even give a good one. Add a selection of lotions, some Desert Spa music or rainforest sounds, and some scented oils and your wife will feel like she is at an expensive spa. Now if you can exchange your beer belly for some washboard abs, she may prefer your massage over the one from the muscle man at the spa that charges $200 an hour.

I was very pleased with this DVD. Meade Steadman demonstrates numerous techniques using male and female models. He covers the entire body thoroughly and offers practical advice throughout the video. Unlike other videos, Steadman both performs the massage and explains the techniques at the same time. Other videos use voice-over narration to explain what you're seeing, which is not nearly as enjoyable or as effective.

I bought this video to help review massage techniques that I may not have completely caught in massage school. Although I didn’t get the specific technique I had interest in, I think this video does an excellent job showing massage techniques and giving information about giving massage. It even covered grounding and massage room set up.
