We have been using one of these for a while, and we just bought our second... My husband eliminated our cable bill by hooking up a mac-mini to the living room big screen. (We first heard about the serfpad during a class about money saving tech.)We also use one with a laptop connected to our tv in the bedroom.Pros: It blends in with the living room décor and does not make it feel like a dorm room or man cave, and I like that alot… It also stows away nicely beside the bed and night stand.Cons: I wish that serfpads came in other colors (for the ladies), and I would prefer a smaller serfpad for the bedroom.It is not flimsy, as some have wrote, but it is not hard either, and that is OK for when you get whacked with it by the hubby… But, that provides a great excuse to “take the remote” from him!Overall, we have saved over $1000, so we love a serfpad (or two).

Product is a bit flimsy, and it bends across your lap when being used. I found it to be very usable with a 1/2 inch thick board underneath it. It does seem to be a bit expensive for the materials and assembly costs involved, since it's pretty much a 1/8" thick piece of plexiglass. I am not completely dissatisfied, and they were not dishonest about what they were offering, I just probably should have done a little more research before purchase because the pliability of the board means it curves around your lap instead of being rigid, as I expected.EDIT: They reached out to me and made sure I was satisfied after leaving this review, and offered anything they could to make sure I was satisfied. I appreciated that, and I think that this product is exactly as described, just know that if you're looking for something that will remain rigid, you'll have to add some form of support behind it, which was fairly simple to do.

Way thinner than I was expecting. Was expecting a decent amount of rigidity considering it's acrylic, but it bends pretty easily with a normal amount of force for using a mouse.Would have been fine if there was some sort of support material underneath, like plywood and a moderate amount of cushion, especially at this price.

This is all you need to know. Look closely at the pictures. This product is nothing more than a flat piece of semi rigid plastic with two handholds cut out. It is machine cut and the edges are rough and left little cuts on my hands. When it lays flat on a flat surface, it is hard to pick up because it is only 1/10 of an inch thick, there are no sides, nothing to grab on to. This is a piece of black plastic with velcro. From the ad, you would think it was some miraculous piece of engineering...its a flat piece of plastic and velcro. There is no craftsmanship, nothing added, its plastic and velcro.There are dozens of other desks out there, please look at them and compare. Most come with padding and detail that make them easier to handle and more appropriate for the job and mostly, they cost a lot less. This is a piece of flat plastic and velcro for $72, you can get much nicer products for a lot less. Don't be fooled by the hype in this ad.someone has been spamming the negative feedback left for this product, pay him/her no mind. Just look carefully at the product and compare to others. I did not pay attention when I bought this, but I'm sure if you look carefully, you will buy elsewhere. Caveat Emptor. This product speaks for itself. plastic and velcro for $70! look elsewhere.

I PC game on my couch. I needed something to use mouse and keyboard. This did exactly what I was expecting. It is a piece of plexiglass that comes with Velcro to stick your keyboard to. Nothing fancy, just useful.

This keyboard and mouse lapdesk is the greatest thing ever! They also are getting ready to introduce the mini serfpad. When I metioned to them that my keyboard was only 11" long, they surprised me with sending also a mini, with additional velcro strips. I love it for my mini keyboard! What a great product, and a smart and nice owner! I am NOT affiliated with the company.

Way over priced for a thin sheet of plastic. Also it is too large for me to comfortably hold it in my lap.

i am giving this 2 stars because i am being nice. this is a piece of plexiglass that is flimsy and bends very easily. from the picture it looks like it was possibly aluminium. i could have made this myself. and for 10 bucks.... dont waste your money.
