An excellent mic...Fully adjustable headband and crystal clear sound. Very little coloring, if any.

Love this headset.

Good for speech but way sub par to my Crown cm311a. I bought this to integrate with an Akg wms pro mini 40. The wms 40 was virtually unusable so the mic went back with the wireless set up. I should know better--never go econo with mics or wireless. It's not worth it.

This Headset is wonderful

Having used several, mics/headmics in the past, this all started when I was a drummer with a local covers band. Fed up of having an overhead mike on a boom stand) getting in the way. I tried using a headmic (wired at the time) bliss, it was so easy to use, as now I could move freely around the kit, instead of being stuck in one position, whilst trying to play drums and sing! That one was an early Shure, it did the job, but the quality still wasn't there (in 93). Then later on 2006/7 I had a chance to try a wireless one. This was much better as u were not tied to a lead any more, but the quality still didn't match the main mikes being used at the front.Now we come the present model, an AKG C555L, this is streets ahead, very comfortable, easy to use an set up. With a very good dynamic range and an excellent sound, sounding just like an expensive hand held. It has two cushioned metal arms which fit over the ears, with a wire band which goes round the back, holding the cable to the transmitter. It has an adjustable metal band, is fully interchangeable from left to right hand use, the gooseneck arm simply clips off.So, I'm very pleased with this mike which sounds really clear, and gives me confidence when using it.I can just relax and concentrate on the drums.So a throughly good quality headset.Well done AKG!
