Very happy to have this book for this price. However, I will probably invest in a better edition, having read and enjoyed it now. I have to be honest and state that many parts of this specific translation either did not make much grammatical sense, or simply did not flow in the way I am sure it was intended to. A great product to get your foot in the door, but a cheap build and translation to be sure.

A must read. Short and simple. A beautiful story . It enlightened my journey and helped me made peace with my humanness

Terrible translation!

An eloquent and masterful translation of one of Hesse's classics. A simple yet powerful story about the life of a young boy and his journey to man's final end in the unitive knowledge with the divine ground, Siddhartha is an absolute must-read for anyone interested in the eternal questions such as what is truth? what is real? who are you? as well as eastern philosophy in general. This version's simple and flowing prose is a sincere and indeed beautiful rendition and an absolute joy to read.

This is a indeed a Classic that all should read, I was blown away at the simplicity of its message and how it still resonates with me to this day...
