EDIT: Customer service was fantastic helping me get a great set of pens. They're still going strong and look beautiful. I am moving my stars from two to four. It would have been five if I hadn't needed CS at all.I looked at a lot of reviews for pens before deciding upon these. $20 can either be a great deal or a rip off...these were the latter. I saw so many mixed reviews that it was hard to decide. When they came their ink fill-line was down by at least an inch on all and one color (purple) had exploded and dry ink was everywhere. I'd had the longest day and was looking forward to using them with a new book so I opened the box and decided to use them anyway. The box was mangled too (not the shipping box - the inner packaging). They're all right. Not worth $20 or the mixed review gamble. I noticed that they always respond to questions and reviews which I thought was nice and ultimate why I took the risk...but shouldn't these be shipping in new condition like the pretty picture to everyone?

I bought these for a friend as a thank you gift after she saw me coloring with my gel pens and expressed an interest. AS she is not an experienced artist, I wasn't looking for anything high end but just a cheap set with as many colors as possible for her to play with so she could decide if she wants to invest in more expensive pens. I got the chance to try the pens out on day while visiting her and I think for the purpose I purchased them for, they were just right. These are not high end pens, and I don't expect them to behave like Sakura gel pens. They're great for a bit of doodling and coloring but they do run out of ink very quickly!

The Gel Pens arrived a day late but it may have been due to my apartment office staff not being open the day before. I noticed that the plastic box was destroyed in shipping -- but the pens were not damaged which was lucky for me! A few of the pens had some issues with the ink being used up very quickly (I thought it was a leak or something. When I contacted the company about my concerns I received an email from Andrew. He was very professional and offered to repladce the pens at no cost to me. I agreed and the replacement pens were in my hands three days later. The new (replacement) pens work beautifully. I would definately order from Bright Night again.

I bought these because of the amount and the color variety in the package.I needed them for my daughters end of year class party.They were doing a fun colorful autograph project with the gel pens.Now based on the reviews, I thought it was a safe buy. WRONG!!I needed 25 pens for the class. Out of the 36 in this package only 26 actuallyworked well enough to send in!These were going to 5 year olds that have a hard time writing smoothly.Now having to use pens that are SUPPOSED to write smoothly, only seem to scratch.I should have gone down the road and bought a well known brand, and paid the extra money.In this package this is what I managed to get..a pen without a cap,10 pens that flat out didn't work,too many to count that I had to really work at getting to work. Others that did finally work but had tobe held straight up and down to write.The plus side, is they didn't smear after using.The variety of colors were great! There were colors I haven'tseen in other packages.The price and the number of pens in the package.The fact they had metallic, neon, and glitter was what drew me in the firstplace. I thought the kids would have fun with them.The sad thing, the neon was the variety that mostly didn't work.If these all worked as they should have, they would have gotten the 5 star rating I was hoping to givethem.I would have returned them, but I needed to have them sent to the school the next day, so I couldn't.I just hope no other pens stop working on these kids!!Based on other reviews, these are supposed to be good pens.I myself, did not have that experience, so I can't recommend them based on this.I did NOT receive this product free or for a discounted price for my review.I write reviews, so others have the info they need to make their purchases.I too, rely on reviews to make my own purchases.I base them on the findings of myself and my families use, good or bad.Update: The seller of these pens emailed me the very next morning after I posted this review.They apologized for the "substandard" pens (as she put it) I received, and for the children not enjoyingthem. They offered to send out a free replacement , and that I wouldn't have to return the ones I had.I was impressed by their speedy response on this, and how they were wanting to make things right.There just aren't many companies out there any more that really care, once they have our money! I await the new set, and will see how they perform. If they warrant a better rating, the review will then reflect it.

When these pens arrived on the scheduled delivery date, the first thing I noticed wat that one of them was leaking all over everything else. I was able to clean it up, but clearly could not use it. I sent an email to the company and they promptly sent me another set, which arrived this morning in perfect condition. I did try out some of the pens from the first set and the colors are great! There is a good selection of neons, glitters, metallic and regular inks. These pens appear to be a good value and a very nice product, and based on the company's rapid response to my inquiry, I highly recommend the pens and the company! If you have any problem with your product, they will do whatever it takes to rectify it, and they won't blow you off as just some complaining customer. I plan on purchasing more pens from this company in the future.

I've ordered pens from several different companies in order to find the one that "is for me". Well, I've discovered that most of the pens are from the same supplier and shipped to different companies which sell them under their own name. I really don't have anything to complain about any of the pens I've received. These are great pens and work wonderfully. I love working with them and have added them to the tremendous supply of pens that I have. I have used them in different books and find that they have great ink flow. I love the jewel colors and love blending the lighter colored ones with the darker tones. I'm a user of pens and markers and use them together to create my vision of the pictures I'm coloring. The artist's of these pictures draw great pictures and we, as colorists, are allowed to color as we want.
