They are the perfect size and have the perfect design on them; however, the felt tears easily. Many of the kids at the party stopped wearing them because they broke. If you know how to keep felt from tearing, then definitely purchase them. If you only have a dozen kids at the party, maybe order them (since you will have extras to pass out if they break). Basically, just be aware that they are delicate and may tear. Perhaps if you know this in advance you can warn the kids and help them put them on. I think if they are gentle when putting them on, they might work ok. Many of the ones that broke at our party were likely from the rough tugs from kids trying to put them on. Good luck!

Dress like a pirate! These eye patches make fun party favors. We put them in the kids treasure favor boxes for my daughter's Jake and The Neverland Pirates themed Birthday Party. They were a great value around $8 for 24! They are made of a soft felt fabric so better quality then a lot of the other ones on the market. . The kids had so much fun dressing up like puny pirates and wearing these eye patches. We even put one on our skeleton Mr. Bones and had the kids take photos with him.

These eye patches rocked at my 3 year olds pirate party. The elastic was nice and stretchy and fit every person at the party. The felt was soft and not irritable over the eye. I would recommend these to anyone throwing a party or who just wants to be a pirate for a day or two.

First off, the quality of these is very poor. The tag that is sewn on the inside that hangs into the patched eye says "Oriental Trading". The felt is very thin and with no reinforcement, they tear due to the elastic string that holds them on the head.Second: the listing and the package they came in said 24 count, but inside the package there were only 12. This meant I had to run to Target to buy more patches... the pirate patches in the party section at Target were much better quality, so it seemed unfair that half the kids got "good patches", and the rest for these low-quality ones. Unfortunate all around. The only saving grace is that, had I received 24, these are cheap and likely will only be used once or twice anyway... so I give them 2 stars instead of 1 for that fact.

These were better than any other patches I've found. They are a little warm because they are felt, but the felt is softer and more comfortable than the plastic ones. We didn't have any problem with them tearing, but they are definitely only meant for one-time use. Some of them were slightly faded (the white portion) but that was completely fine since it made them look more rugged. We used these for a pirate-themed birthday party and the kids all loved them.

Bought these as an end of season little gift for our Pirates baseball team. They all loved them and had a great time running around wearing them. Not to mention how adorable they looked!

Used these as part of my son's birthday giveaways. They're just felt patches. The string is somewhat thin, but it works fine for kids. And for 24 eye patches, it's a good deal.

Not as nice as a dedicated eye patch you'd want for a costume but this works great as an inexpensive option to get a group done up in a pirate theme.
