Sometimes I Forget You're a Robot Hardcover – October 17, 2013

Lots of laughs!! Originally I got this at the public library and bought it for my son's 3rd birthday because he loved it so much. Color and illustrations are bright and simple, but very comical for a young child. I always read it as silly as possible, and would have my little guys rolling over from chuckles. Now my 3rd son is almost 2 and loves it. The older one still gets a kick out of it, it was his first very favorite book!

Sam's art is so vibrant. This is my step son's (5yr) favorite night time story. He loves to read all the beeps and talk about trips to space and under the sea. He now wants a robot friend of his very own! I recommend this book to everyone. I have been a fan of Sam Brown for years and was so happy to introduce a new young fan.

As a longtime fan of Sam's work, I enjoyed this book thoroughly. This is the first book I purchased for my daughter, who will be born in a couple months. Hopefully I can raise her to view life as an adventure — an idea Sam illustrates so skillfully in this book. I'll let her weigh in and update the rating in a few years. ;)

I bought this to get my nephew excited about robots and programming. The preview you get to read of this book is misleading. In the end the red robot in the story does nothing but go beep beep beep. The story down plays the role robots play in our society and makes them seem dumb, like they serve no function or purpose. The story kills the readers imagination on what robots can be used for to solve problems. My 15 month old son (and husband) love this book! It is brightly illustrated and has a cute story. The paper pages are nice and thick, so might stand up to repeated readings with a small kid.

My wife and I bought this for our first child. It's a super cute book with great artwork and simple language that's perfect for new readers. Sam Brown's quirky style works perfectly for this book.

I absolutely love Sam Brown's Exploding Dog Web Site. I loved the opportunity to share his work with my seven year old daughter.

I am a literacy assistant in a Primary school and originally bought this book for myself as I am a fan of Exploding Dog on Tumblr. However the five year olds I work with have also got a lot of pleasure from this story.

I'll be honest and say I prefer Sam's website (explodingdog.com) comics, but the pictures are beautiful and it's a cute book.
