Barely a basic radio. No GPS, No (working) back up camera, no satisfaction.
So this is not Blaupunkt from years ago (shame on me for not researching). The product description writes there is standalone GPS. There is not. This was the main reason for getting this model. The unit does not support android auto. In order to Mirrorlink (connect via cable) it wants you to download a random APK (app) file from a random location. No thank you. This means I have NO gps. (nor mirrorlink).Installation manual is basic and SUPER tiny. Very hard to read. I found some PDFs online.Reverse camera is not working (no camera in is working for that matter, I tried both), even though the radio interface acknowledges when the car is in reverse.Bluetooth to the phone seems to work ok, I can play music ok from Pandora from my phone via bluetooth.I would not buy this or any other Blaupunkt based on this. As a basic media receiver this is a hard pass. I will be researching and buying a replacement.

unit is unuseable
In my opinion this unit is unusable because the harness wiring colors don't match the diagram on the unit. it says "pink=back" , "black/pink=brake" and "black= ground" but on the harness there is only 1 pink wire and one black wire but no pink and black wire. there's also no steering wheel control with this unit. I didn't get any further than this wire color conflict before deciding to nip it in the bud and reinstall my factory radio. This experience also tells me that I shouldn't buy another Blaupunkt, ever ebcause I'm certain this or other problems will be present.

Solid performance.
This is installed as part of an all-Blaupunkt system in my car. Had to get the approprate adapter to fit in the dash and was "a little difficult" to finish off but it's for sure doable.Performance is excellent and reception on the tuner very satisfactory. No issues at all in the way of performance or reliability, has been rock solid and I would buy again without hesitation. The only concern is a personal one, nothing to do with the performance of this head unit, that I have experienced with other systems: it is inconvenient for me to mess with my phone while I am driving. The company hosting the program included to link to your phone went out of business (no fault of Blaupunkt) and I have yet to find a replacement that really works. Otherwise cannot recomment this unit highly enough, very pleased with it.

Doesn't fit dash kit had to trim with dremel tool. Turns off randomly and resets and loses memory every time it happens.

OKish for the price point
To start with, I bought this to put in an old beater car that did not come with a radio. My state has a hands free law for cell phone use so Bluetooth calling is important to me. I was looking for a budget friendly radio but did not want to buy one of the crap brands. My son once had an off brand radio in a convertible and the face literally melted in the sun.I think this is a rebranded generic radio. I say this because the user interface looks very similar to generic android radios that I have seen online. Also the startup splash screen doesn't say Blaupunkt but has some other logo. First impression, the user interface seems a little clunky and not intuitive, but I have only been using it a few days. Also know the the instructions included are very minimal. The radio pinout diagram in both the manual and on the sticker on the back of the radio seem to be incorrect. The included wire pigtails colors didn't match the diagrams on several of the wires and, on mine at least, the backup light input for the rear camera and the park brake input for the video are swapped from what the diagrams show. The radio and Bluetooth calling work ok. To play music over Bluetooth you have to go into the phone/Bluetooth menu. To mirror the phone to the radio screen (for nav and whatever), you plug the phone into the front USB and it wants me to download an app to my phone from a strange site (which I will NOT be doing). It does have an SD card slot that I think I can play music (and maybe videos) from (again instruction manual is vague here) but I have not tried that yet. I am assuming it will at least do MP3s.To summarize, keep your expectations low and you wont be disappointed. This is a 77 dollar radio after all.
