It' does the job

Bought this to install cables in an underground duct, it was cheaper than hiring one from the local hire station!Very easy to use and the quality and durability is great.Would highly recommend.

You can spend a fortune on these but I'm just ramming it in dirty holes so I wanted the cheapest rod I could get my hands on. I've shoved this right up a shaft all the way to the end and had just the tip in with no issues.The other advantage of the cheap ones is if you break it it's not a huge hardship to get another one. I would be terrified of cracking/snapping the expensive ones and you'd shaft be more inclined to carry on using a broken one rather than just replacing it.There's a knack to getting the brake set just right when you're using it so you don't end up unspooling the entire reel behind you. I'm sure this is a point that the more expensive ones have a better system on but I can't say as it's something that makes me want to spend more money.
