The ONLY thing that has ever helped my flakey scalp!
This product is starting to get to be hard to find in stores, and I'm fearing the worst, so I figure I should share my story while I can.A few years back, I started having scalp problems. Major. It was thick, it was itchy, I had to wear a headwrap when I slept or when I woke up EVERYTHING would be COVERED in flakes. What I'm saying is it was bad. I did go to a dermatologist, who gave me a prescription antifungal shampoo, which helped some (and I use to this day), and some kind of steroid ointment, which did nothing. In the meantime, as you can imagine, this was severely affecting my life. So, I was spending my time showering and buying new products that advertised they might be able to help (and bringing them immediately home to shower with). But, nothing ever really helped that much. I kid you not when I say I tried EVERYTHING you can buy in a drugstore for that's supposed to treat dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis or any other scalp condition. I tried shampoo brushes. I tried lice removal combs. I tried scrubs made for scalps and bodies and feet. I tried products made for cats and dogs.Until the day I found this. See, most scrubs, they're not oily. You put them on your scalp and they just scratch and scratch, irritating the skin (or in some places not touching it at all, since they don't flow well, either.)This product is first and foremost a deep conditioner. It is very slick and flows well (I think a top review calls it slimy--not the word I'd have used, but they're not wrong!) Because everything is so slick and moisturized when it's on your head, it's easy to scrub with the beads to lift up any residue without irritating your skin. Also, it's just easier to break up the scalp oils holding that residue on when you're scrubbing with oil than with, like, salt. The best result I was able to achieve before this came from dumping MASSIVE amounts of regular conditioner on my head (like, multiple full handfuls--and I have a clipper cut) until everything was totally saturated and then scrubbing it with my fingers and really working my nails into it. This scrub accomplishes something similar, but much better, way more efficient, and it makes my hair ridiculously soft and smells like a fancy spa, to boot (and I'm usually really sensitive to scents--but no issues at all with this one).I'm sure this will be TMI for many. But those who need to see it, need to see it. Please, L'Oreal, never stop making this product.

Doesn't affect my color!
Ok, so I'm going to say right away this isn't the easiest product to use when you first get it. Comes in a tub and the consistency is "goopey", for lack of a better word. But it is SO worth figuring ot how to use! A) Doesn't change my color one bit. Big deal for someone who's pretty much ALL gray under what my stylist does lol. For reference, I am a warmer brown with highlights, so "brassiness" is a real concern with the wrong products. B) This doesn't over dry my scalp, or hair by the roots. Not sure if it's because I have oily hair and a non-sensitive skin/scalp type. This leaves my scalp clean, and the first 1/4 or so of my hairstrand is SO SOFT. C) The scent is really nice. It smells exactly what the label tells you it's going to...minty with some fruity notes. I've been using this scalp scrub for months now, twice a week, and love how it leaves my head&hair! I use it as part of my hair growth routine along with Vegamour Hair Gro Serum and daily collagen powder intake (started with NativePath, tried several others, and settled on Anthony's)...my hair has grown back, is thicker, and even my stylist has told me I'm no longer thin all over! L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate Free Exfoliating Scalp Scrub has helped me not only clean off the "ick" of product build-up and dead skin/sebum, it's helped ready my head for the regrowth serum I use on my hair. Not messing with the color job I pay for is huge too, the hair softness by the scalp is just an unexpected and awesome bonus!!! While it has taken me a bit to get used to yhe consistency and how to apply this, I find it best to part my wet hair and scoop a little out with 2or3 fingers, then run it right down the part line so it's directly on my scalp. After I'm done with the parts in my hair, I apply it to my hairline (all the way around) scrubbing my scalp/hairline just with my fingers gets the job done. Awesome stuff!!

I probably won't buy again but...
I guess it helps clean your scalp, although I didn't notice any difference than with a normal wash. It didn't hurt anything

Not As Effective As I Had Hoped/Microplastics
I really wanted a way to clean my scalp beyond clarifying shampoo; like a deep exfoliating scalp scrub. This is NOT that. Unless your hair and scalp are soaking wet, it doesn’t really penetrate at all. If soaking wet; it doesn’t really give the scrub you’re looking for. Eucalyptus smell (similar to mint or Vicks Vaporú). It also has micro plastics which are terrible for the environment and terrible for you and your body as they are hormone disruptors. I expected a bit more from L’Oréal on this one…
