I was provided this item at a discounted price in exchange for my honest & unbiased review. My work is flexible and I like to sometimes sit places I don't usually sit, but my connection is weak in those places. This proved to be helpful in fixing that and giving me more options.STEP 1 = First thing you need to do is find a power source to plug this into. For a few dollars more it would have been great to include a USB-to-AC adapter, similar to the one in my photo. I had to temporarily borrow my wife's Kindle adapter to test this out, since I didn't have an extra. This is why I knocked it down a peg, since not everyone can use this directly out of the box.So after you find an power adapter, plug this Extender into it and the blue LED should start blinkingSTEP 2 = On your device open your Settings > WiFi and connect to the "WiFI+" connection.Give it a few seconds but it should obtain an IP address, then be connected.STEP 3 = On the same device, open your browser and connect to this URL:192.168.19.252When you hit OK/Enter, a pop-up should give you a list of avaialble wifi networks in your home/workplace/coffee shop you can connect the Extender to. Login with your credentials to your home wifi from the list.STEP 4 = Wait 60 seconds, then go back to your Settings > WiFi and find a new wifi connection that will have the name of your home wifi_plusFor instance my home wifi may be normally called "homewifi"Now you'll have a new option called, "homewifi_plus" or "homewifi+"Connect to this option, let it obtain IP and then it's connected.Once my photos are uploaded, I get to one part of my property and have zero bars. After setting up this extender I would have 3-4 bars of connection. Extender works!!I'm going to take this to my workplace and now I'll be able to sit outdoors at some tables and work with a stronger connection. I like it.
