13585 4 Slot Pie Maker, Red

Opened up my pie maker the day I got it and started making meat pies right away. The whole experience was much better than I expected. I've read a few bad reviews here and other places, but decided to try the cooker anyway. It was not a bad experience at all. The pies turned out perfect, and came out of the cooker so easily. Even when I was a bit sloppy on the insertion of the dough, they'd still cook great and come out perfect. I've found that using crescent roll dough for meat pies works best. And regular packages pie dough for fruit pies is good too. Haven't tried anything else yet, but plan to do a lot of cooking with this little gem. Also, the included cutter and form tool are a must have. I don't know why no other cooker has these items. It makes this the best unit you can get.

It was damaged beyond repair

Cute, LITTLE pie maker .... would be better used as over-sized muffin maker! The pies are much too small for the trouble and time it takes to make them. I was looking forward to a size more like the frozen pot pies found in the super market. If you want something for your children to play with, this is it since it is more like a toy than a regular kitchen appliance! It does a good job of cooking the pies, they look and taste good, but are much too small. I would love it if the pies were even a bit deeper.

Tried it with biscuit dough and it worked even better than with refrigerated pie dough. It was fun to try different toppings, both sweet and savory (made some pies with corned beef hash and they were great). I did have to use oil to make sure it didn't stick, especially with wetter filling, and there is no real way to know when it will be done for certain without opening it and checking. I don't care though. This product is easy, fun, and cooks so quickly. I didn't think I could make pies in 5 minutes, but yes, you can with this. My mother and I had a blast thinking of all the combinations of fillings we could use with this, such as chocolate chip apple pie. Simply limitless.

Total waste of time and money. You can't get the dough into the cups without tearing them and the same removing them.

This arrived in the mail last week and I've already made 20 batches of pies, I've been giving them to friends and family and they love them. It takes me about 5 minutes for fruit pies and around 10 for meat/veggie filling. I've made about 8 different kinds and they've all turned out amazing. I suggest this for anyone who lives on a budget or just loves pie. I was able to make 8 2 crust pies from 1 box of store bought pre-made crust and was able to fill 16 pies with one 20oz can of filling. If you like portion control or have a large family to feed, this item is a keeper. In one day I've managed to make 5 batches of pies, it felt like my kitchen was transformed into a pie shop. If you're considering getting this as a gift, I think your recipient will love it just like I do.

This thing is awesome and easy to use. If you want to make pot pies or make a pie for desert you can. Just buy one you will love it
