I’ve bought every stinkin stud finder known to man and wasted batteries!!! THIS gem, NO batteries and it’s outstanding!!! It finds screws and nails and leaves a slight smudge mark. It hangs on the screw or nail and you mark in the arrow above where the magnet locks in. That way, you don’t hit that nail or screw with whatever you are putting in. I bought two for me and one for my son. He’s an amputee of his right arm but now, no holding to mark…the magnet hangs and he can mark! Perfect!!

Wood or metal studs it will find even just the screws worth every penny to not mess up finished product love this thing

slide it back and for until it picks up a screw or nail head, will pick up steel studs in 1/2" drywall, works great, no more batteries!
