Well, our renters dont comprehend the idea of taking the mesh bag off the end of the discharge hose on the washer, cleaning it and putting it back on, OR, putting a new one on which are stashed in the overhead cabinets. So they remove them when they are full and let the discharge solids run down and plug the sinks. Sigh. Rather than slap em upside the head I decided to get these mesh baskets and fastened onto the top side inside the sink and then fastened the discharge hose so the water must spill thru the mesh basket. One of the renters loves it says he takes the used dryer sheet and with a quick swipe cleans out the basket while the gunk is wet. The other renter doesnt seem to be getting with the program but if the basket gets too full I will tell her she is going to pay for the plumber to unclog the sink next time.

We actually turned these into shark tooth sifters with a few pool noodles and some zip ties. It would have worked great if there hadn't been a tropical storm whipping up huge waves. Maybe next time. It does work great as a traditional strainer over the sink as well. Lightweight.

This is a wonderful strainer. The handles pull out so that it can be set up out of the sink, and used for rice and anything else that needs to be stained. It is really easy to clean and makes it quick and easy to use.It is made well and of quality material. I am so happy that I bought it!
