Great product, great price , great service .

I picked these up at a promotional price, when these firelighters were priced at just over half their RRP - and £5 less than my usual brand for an identical quantity. I probably wouldn’t buy them again unless they change their packaging.The firelighters are perfectly good – they catch well, burn for a long time, and don’t include any nasty chemicals. Using 3-4 when starting a fire allows the fire to be lit without kindling.Size-wise these seem to be pretty directly comparable with my usual firelighters.However, the manufacturer of these make poor packaging choices that my usual brand (and others I've tried) don’t: and include a layer of single use plastic packaging inside the box. I‘ve tried a few brands of eco firelighters and they’ve all kept plastic packaging to a minimum, so I wasn’t expecting to open the box and find myself facing the firelighters inside a resealable plastic bag. This just isn't necessary.

Very little splitting of each lighter, as they're tightly wound. I can get a decent fire going with using just one at a time, so they go a long way. Keep an eye on the price though, and buy in summer - the price can vary by about 30%.

Not sure why there are so many poor reviews on this product. I sometimes wonder if reviews for different products get mixed up. Yes, they are smaller than others you can sometimes buy elsewhere but they are very effective. I have a 7kw log burner and find that just one of these burns long enough to get the kindling burning nicely. One box will last around 6 months, so I’m not complaining.
