Worth the price of admission - a gun plumber must have
These punches are a real bacon saver when it comes to assembling anything with roll pins. They're the perfect tool for getting roll pins started, and will protect the finish of whatever you're working on.I have used (and destroyed) dozens of starting punches in life and these are as good if not better than the lot of them. The trick to these types punches is to use them to start pins, then use a regular punch to finish the job. That will minimize the risk of putting shear forces on the walls of the pin holders, saving your tool while still protecting the finish of whatever you're working on.One more thing - DO NOT use them for anything other than starting pins. The hollow face of the punch is super easy to damage making them a bit of a one trick pony. That said, the trick they do is pretty great.

Greatest thing since sliced bread!
Oh this makes life easy! No more scuffing guns up when working on them. No more busting fingers trying to hold roll pins or trying to use needle nose pliers. Solid steel that has been killed out. Initially they held on to the roll pin a little tight but after a little use they are perfect. I would highly recommend for anyone who does any level of gunsmithing or tinkering.

Looks like great punch set
Looked them over but have not had the chance to use yet. Appear to be quality materials and will be a great addition to my various punch sets. 4 stars because I have not used them.

Great product so far
I was skeptical that this would be a decent product at the price offered, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this roll pin punch set appears to be perfectly fine. I'm glad to have it, and I was pleased to use it on an AR build the day I got it - worked just as it should have. I can't attest to whether it will hold up in use, as I've only recently received it, but it strikes me as a heck of a value for the price.

Work if used correctly
Work well for what they are designed for. It was obvious from some of the poor reviews, that people were using these as standard punches. Causing them to break. These are simply to hold a roll type pin while you lightly tap the punch to start the pin. Not as a driving punch. Worked well to start bolt catch pin in an AR15 lower

Works great for my AR builds
I've used these on a couple of AR Builds and they are great for starting roll pins. On my earlier builds I just used roll pin punches to start and it was always tricky. As others have mentioned, put a dab of grease on the end of the roll pin and it will stick to the starter 'till you get it going.

Good punches, good price
Under $5, these are great punches, at great price. These are noticeably better than the cheapest, generic inport punches that you may be imagining. Of course if you abuse the smaller ones you will bend or break them. $5-$7 I'd consider fair retail, over $7 I'd say overpriced.
