A soft warm yellow enamel is sifted onto a copper circle and fired in the kiln. I intentionally over fire to bring out the black oxides on the edges of the discs. Enamel is fired onto both sides of the piece. I create my own honey bee iron oxide images. The honey bee is then fired burning the iron into the vitreous enamel, bonding it permanently. The circle is 1 3/8" and hangs from an 18" black coated steel neck wire with a screw clasp. Our products are handmade and therefore your piece could look slightly different from the one pictured. We work from our home studio in Raleigh, NC, where we do every aspect of our business from designing, making, photography, marketing, and shipping. Anvil is a labor of love and we hope that each person that purchases our work feels a connection to the passion that went into making it.
