A useful ingredient for making cocktails. Can be had near too but I prefer it in the cocktail

I feel a little bad giving this 4 stars - it is a very nice spirit but just not my go-to amaretto. I was intrigued by the addition of sea salt and it comes through quite clearly, but as a straight drink it can be a little assertive. It might work very well in or with chocolates, much the same as salted caramel...

Bought it after reading reviews. Did not like it prefer Saliza.

This is bloody fabulous! It has a deep, rich almondy flavour (as you would expect from any decent ameretto) yet apparently contains just half the sugar of many other brands. I think it also has more body - slightly more syrupy (in a good way) than familiar offerings like Disaronno. There are coffee and spice notes present, but the icing on the cake for me is the addition of sea-salt, which is a little bit of genius - you get just a hint of it left behind on your lips after drinking - it’s really delicious. I know this product also mixes well, because it’s used by companies like Nio, who sell mail order cocktails. In particular, it makes a lovely ameretto sour. However, I think on balance I probably prefer drinking it on its own - you get to appreciate the warmth unadulterated, plus it looks great in a teeny mid century Scandinavian shot, glowing amber through the frosted glass. Hoping also to track down the cask-aged variant at some point when when my bank balance allows…
