TrustyPup Tender Care Therapeutic Ortho Foam Dog Bed, Small, Brown

I started buying orthopedic beds when I realized my dogs were getting arthritis as they age. After purchasing the Happy Hounds bed for a 90 lb. St. Bernard, I was so pleased that I immediately looked for another to get for my 35 lb Jindo. The egg crate foam beds are softer than a spring mattress and sturdier than memory foam. However they are very comfortable. I myself can fall asleep on them! Even with the weight of a 90 lb St. Bernard, the bed does not sink, it holds its place and keeps my dog very nicely cushioned. I definitely see how this bed is great for aging dogs.That being said, I couldn't find the right Happy Hounds bed size for my Jindo so I settled for Pooch Planet Small. It was the right size. Never used the brand before so wasn't sure what to expect. It's almost the same as the Happy Hounds brand! Same comfortable egg crate foam, very very soft fleece, washable and reversible bed. Great product. My Jindo is still young but she was jealous of my St. Bernard's comfortable bed and tried to claim it so much that I got her her own bed and she's totally happy. She's also anxious and this bed keeps her relaxed and clam at night.Tip: After some use, the egg crates become visible through the fleece (you can see the shape of the foam and the point parts of the egg crate start to show). If you don't like to see it or you think it's taking away the softness of the bed, put a soft blanket or wrap on top of it. Makes the bed softer and less pointy. It ALSO keeps the white fleece white haha.

If you need the exact PoochPlanet bed that is shown & described here, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!! The bed I received IS NOT the one described & pictured in this listing!! We already have 2 of the beds described in the listing & they are awesome! Our 2 dogs like to "fluff up" their beds (we call it "digging to China!") before laying down & usually ruin a bed in a day or two, but not the PoochPlanet beds shown in this listing - they have a heavy-duty fabric covering that still looks like new (I'm not referring to the "sheep-skin" side as that would be destroyed in a minute by our dogs). The bed I received is labeled as a "TrustyPup". It is similar in size & has the same egg-crate type foam, but it is made with a much flimsier fabric than the bed in the listing. The side that should be "sheep-skin" is just a thin fuzzy material, the other side is a really thin brown material & the 4" sidewalls are a thin brown material with a white pattern. What's really weird is that the bed has a hang-tag on it for the bed in the listing. Either PoochPlanet has changed the bed (& the name) or the seller is switching beds. I contacted Amazon right away & they immediately refunded my money then helped me order a replacement. The replacement bed I ordered came in today. Sadly, the replacement bed is also the same "TrustyPup" bed! I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet - return it again, keep it & see how long it takes for the dogs to destroy it or give it to a friend with a less destructive dog. If your dog is not destructive like ours you should be OK with the "TrustyPup" bed, but if you want the better quality material of the PoochPlanet bed DON'T buy this one! If anybody finds the actual PoochPlanet bed shown in the listing, please let me know as I'd like to order several of them.

We acquired one of these ortho foam beds under a different brand name two years ago at a Walmart and our doxie loves it. The thick egg-crate pad and the "wooly" surface are apparently quite comfortable, and it's light in weight. We would have preferred the dark brown color of our first one, rather than the light brown that was available this time. Our guy walks a lot, and the wooly surface can get grimy from road dust and dirt. The good news is that the cover is washable, but the zipper finally broke from washing every 3 weeks or so, and several Walmarts didn't have the small size (and some not even the style) this time around. All things considered, this has been good for our pooch and household and we are glad this style is still available.

This bed is made out of durable material, which easily unzips so you can remove the foam interior and wash the outside. When it arrived, I laid on it and I must say it was very comfortable. It fit perfectly into our dog cage for our large dog (50 lbs) and it was a nice bed for him. Unfortunately our dog gets temperamental at times, and actually destroyed this bed. It is not a fault of the bed by any means, but if you have a rowdy dog and you put this in the cage, it may be chewed.Overall, a wonderful product!

This dog bed is very good as evidenced by the fact I have bought my dog two of them. Could not find another one at Wal Mart so turned to Amazon where I did find the bed. It cost about $46 at Amazon.As it turns out, now since I am not looking for another bed, when in Wal Mart the other day, lo and behold there was another one identical to the two we now have and it is still only $32.99!To sum it up, the bed is great but we sure over paid for it this time!!!

This is a very good bed for the price. Its not described this way but it is actually a strong egg-crate type of mattress with the "hills and valleys" on both sides so you can turn it over for whichever side you prefer. As a result it does not flatten. My dog really took to it, after about 9 years on a more "pillowy" type of foam bed. Definitely a good buy.

Though the picture did not match exactly what I got, what I got is even better and more fashionable! The picture shows just a brown fabric. What I got had a brown pattern instead. Still matched the room though. The dog thought it was really great and immediately went for it. I am excited that the cover has an easy to remove zipper so I will be able to wash it when it gets full of dog muck and dirt ... like all dogs have.

My Aussie loves this bed! And he's very picky.. This is the only bed he's actually liked. My only issue I had was when we received the bed it was dirty and had black streaks down it- good thing the cover comes off and cleans very well but over all we are very pleased.
