The Max is framed with long lasting redwood and built with wire mesh on four sides, which allows for the material to be exposed to sun and air, accelerating the decomposing process. The bottom is enclosed in mesh, so that The Max, when placed directly in a secure location in the garden, allows for and welcomes worms to access the material, which also speeds up the decomposing process. All beneficial insects are welcome. A door at the bottom allows for easy access to composted materials and is secured with a hook. Note: The composting material is visible and the mesh acts as a subtle barrier. The Max Composter has a sturdy, removable lid that has a dual purpose: it discourages uninvited guests from foraging in the kitchen scraps and is an all-purpose sieve to be used around the garden. The lid is also available separately and can be found in the garden section as the Mario sieve. No assembly required
