GlobalWide Chef’s Knife, 3.5"

I bought this knife to complete my basic collection of Global knives. For those of you not familiar with Global, these are the best kitchen knives for under $500 a knife you can find. I started out like most people, with a block-set of knives from a department store. Only after I started to get semi-serious about cooking did I actually do any research into higher quality knives. I am a knife collector/enthusiast, so I do know a little about different types of steel. I stepped out and bought some expensive Japanese knives but always worried about using them, so they rarely got used. I noticed in the reviews of several different knives people mentioned Global, and after trying them, I have not purchased anything but Global since then. I still have the pretty knives on display in my kitchen, but the ones that get used daily are the Globals.
