The Wheels on the Bus (Pudgy Board Book) Board book – May 2, 1991

Wheels on the Bus are a toddler favorite, so how could you go wrong? Its a smaller board book, making it easy for little hands to hold. The pictures are engaging and silly, which draws them in. The song itself is repetitive, so it encourages toddlers to sing along and understand the concept of letters representing something meaningful when put together! The best part though is sharing it together - books are the best way to have purposeful, loving and one-on-one experiences!

My children had this book and learned the song and hand motions with it. Very durable for little hands, but got chewed up a bit 😂 I have given it to my grandchildren and new parents. Love it and would buy again.

My 14 month olds favorite song has always been "the wheels on the bus" probably because his grandparents sung it to him ad naseum. His favorite part was when the babies go wah wah wah....i think he understands what were saying....But i always wondered if he knew what the song was about, seeing as he has not really seen too many busses in his life. Do any babies know what windshield wipers are??? One day while browsing Amazon, i noticed there were several books written which illustrated this song so i decided to pick one to buy for him. This was the one i choose because i felt the pictures were the most appealing. Im glad i chose this one my son really enjoys the book. Im so glad he can finally visualise what the song is about. He now points at the bus driver on every page.

My little girl (20 month old) and I love the illustrations in the book. There are so many little details to look at and it makes a great vocabulary lesson. We love the wheels on the bus song and although this one has slightly different wording than the one we know, it is still nice to get a visual. I still sing it to my daughter the way we know it and since she cant read yet she doesnt know any better. The book is the perfect size for your diaper/travel bag and it seems sturdy and well made. We are very happy with this adorable board book.

This is the exact replica of my sons original book. He is now 33 years old and this was his favorite book with his aunt Darcy.She used to play bumpy bump and windshield wipers on the bed with him growing up. Her daughter is 32 and that was her favorite book so who better to buy it for then my nieces baby arrived only three weeks ago today.We’re already reading it to him. All he does is smile.

The Wheels on the Bus pudgy board book is adorable because the graphics are geared towards children and can be a springboard for other learning opportunities such as counting, facial expressions, ettiquette (politness), etc. It is quite durable and should hold up well with a lot of handling by tiny hands. The "pages" have a shiny and easy wipe-clean surface. I am pairing it with a FP Little People School Bus as a Christmas gift for my 1 1/2 year old grandchild this year. I recommend this book due to it's construction, graphics, teaching opportunities, and it contains most of the verses (or perhaps we made up some during my childhood years).

It's simple, easy for kids to handle, and something my children love.
