Last year we replaced most of our old plastic cooking utensils with wood ones -- teak and acacia. These work well but the initial coating, if any, wears off pretty quickly. I did some research online and found that Tung Oil is one of the best choices for keeping wood utensils sealed. It is plant-based and not a petroleum product like mineral oil. It's even supposed to last longer.Whenever our wood utensils start to look dry or porous I wipe on this Tung Oil with a clean cloth and let it soak it. I typically wait an hour and then either wipe off the excess or put on another coat. Then the hard part is not using them for a week or so while the oil cures. I just leave them sitting on a shelf. We have pretty much two sets of wood utensils so I can use the second set while the first one dries. I don't notice any smell or stickiness when I follow this approach.This one bottle will last for years. One application seems to last a couple months for the amount of cooking we do.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Purchased wood flower stand. Found this product was good as it protects wood from water. Price was good , easy to apply.

We redid some furniture. This worked well. It did stain the piece we did darker however so you may want to test it. It is a very old pine bakers table and it’s now very dark. lol. Otherwise it’s good stuff.

When my father passed away, I inherited two of his guns. This is a wonderful product. It makes for a beautiful wood finish and really makes the grain pop! It's very easy to apply and is VOC free.

Used to protect walnut counter about 6 months ago and still looks great without stains or scratches. Does not leave a shine nor sticky feeling.

My table turned out beautiful with using this much better than " teak oil finish" or any of the other stuff. It is straight oil. Just oil. Did 4 coats, no shiny look like a poly finish just that polished wood look. Will definitely use again, very easy to work with. No scent.

Painted my raised bed sides with this on the outside it was starting to rot and now it looks much richer and more protected
