Perfect for Ping Pong Balls
I purchased this Easy Gardener BirdBlock 14'x14' net about a week ago. I was looking for an inexpensive, strong, and light weight net that I could use to create a barrier for ping pong balls. In my basement rec room, I have a built in bar. While playing ping pong, balls get hit behind the bar all the time and it is a REAL pain walking behind the bar every few minutes to retrieve them. I first used this netting to create a barrier wall that was about 13' by 7' to block off the bar. I then used what was left over to create a skirt for my ping pong table to keep balls from going under the table. This netting is perfect for what I'm using it for. I'm amazed how light weight and strong it is. It weighs about 0.7 grams per square foot. While working with the netting, I snagged it a few times on things and I thought for sure that I ripped the netting. After closely checking the netting, I could find no damage at all. For less than $13, this is a hell of a buy! When I constructed my barriers, I used 1.88" wide black Gorilla Tape to create an edge for the netting. Gorilla Tape is a heavy weight, super sticky fabric reinforced duct tape. I stuck the edge of the netting to the Gorilla Tape and then folded the tape back onto itself. This creates a perfect reinforced edge that is ideal to mount the netting. I used industrial strength adhesive backed Velcro to attach the Gorilla taped edge of the netting to surfaces. Velcro works great for attaching the netting to surfaces because the netting weighs next to nothing. I highly recommend this product. The netting that I received had 0.5" square openings and not 0.75" square openings. No big deal. The netting was not cut perfectly square. If you want the netting to have straight edges that are parallel with the netting structure, you will have to trim a few inches off each edge. No big deal. Because the netting is extremely light, if it arrives crumpled, you will have a hard time trying to straighten it out. One of my edges was slightly crumpled but I got it to work. For this price, you can't beat this netting for special projects like mine.

Very Effective, Tangles Easily, Plan Before Installing
Our front porch is about 10’ X 10’ X 14’ high. We had some swallows build a nest in one of the corners. We tried different deterrents and most worked for a few days but the pesky, persistent swallows kept coming back. I like birds, but these swallows were making a huge mess right by the front door.So I purchased a roll of BirdBlock reusable netting. The good things is it works. The swallows decided there were other places to build a nest. The netting works – but it is a bit challenging to use. It tangles very easily, catching on any and every little snag.I was trying to hang the netting overhead while perched on a 10’ ladder – it was a real challenge.Setting the netting in place will be much easier if you do some advance planning. If you need to cut the netting, measure the size you need and cut it on some smooth surface.Make sure you have a good way to attach the netting. After a couple of false starts, I found that self-adhesive plastic hooks work best. Get some and put the hooks in place before you try to install the netting. This makes it much easier. I wish better installation suggestions had come with the netting.

Bird be gone! it works!
I bought these to battle the birds that wanted to use my home deck as their nesting headquarters. All their birdy friends and family were coming over and at first, I used the plastic bird spikes to ward them off. Well they just laughed at me and flew around and behind the spikes and started nesting in the nooks. They even used the spikes to hold their nest upright....I would tear it down before they could lay the eggs...and next day...they would be back building it up again...Back and forth we went. It was a constant battle. Then a buddy recommended using this netting. I cut out the size I needed to block the nooks they were trying to nest in and stapled the nets onto the deck.A few days later...no more birds! They have now migrated to my neighbors deck. I felt bad...so I gave some of the netting to the neighbor as well. Now they are down the block, nesting there. ...no more bird poop all over my home.

Durable and Effective, Yet a Hassle
The netting is inexpensive, durable, and effective at keeping certain pests out (birds and cats, in my case). However, I found it to be such a hassle that I prefer my other options (i.e. a chain link fence around the garden, solid cloth over seedlings, etc.) The corners are not marked, so it can be a challenge to keep track of where the ends are when rolling this out. The netting gets caught on things (fingers, sticks, stakes, etc.) very easily. If the netting is too close to vegetables or weeds, the plants will grow through it, which is a messy situation (trying to extricate cherry tomatoes and pull weeds around dozens of holes). The netting isn't large enough to allow me to stake it high above the plants, or on a mulch border around the plants to prevent this situation.

Sturdy, Keeps birds from stealing your fruit & veggies!
This works well at keeping the birds from stealing my fruits/veggies in my garden but my plants don't get pollinated, so you kinda need to put it on after they're pollinated. What sucks is that things don't work out like that in nature...one thing pollinates and grows into something and then you put up the net...all while stifling the other plants from growing. I don't know how else to keep the birds from stealing what Ive worked soo hard for. The netting itself is sturdy, a great size, but it tangles when unrolled because it is double netting you're unfolding. Not sure why.

Just like the nets at the main Home Improvement (H-depot) store.
Hello,I can't really complain about of this but, I found out later that I could have got this exact item at Ho-me de-pot. I guess I just didn't look hard enough (located on the other side of where the fruit trees are). The thing is that at the store it was Cheaper in price, same product exactly but around 2 bucks cheaper. Oh well, at least It came to my door. Everything else was just perfect. The right thing, arrived on time, and was not too much more after all if you figure the cost of gas. Been on the trees since I got it and I am still happy.

Good for immedite use
The netting works - I personally don't like plastic for certain jobs but in this case it was useful at the time and was fairly easy to rewind for a future use - but I don't expect more than two seasons use for it.
