Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (PS4)

Played the first three forever ago. When they were new. Yup, I'm that old. Control was similar and picked it back up quick. As with each sequel from the beginning, they added a few new interesting game features, such as altering gravity and time. I tried to explain to my wife that I really wasn't playing the game for four hours - the mask changed the time... but she wouldn't listen. Summary: if you liked the old games, you should enjoy this. However, if multiple buttons and complicated combos confuse you, maybe look elsewhere. Although you could probably finish it as a minimalist, you may miss out on most of the fun.

Such a great addition to the Crash collection. Difficulty and challenge a plus. I bought this for my son who's aced all the games at this point and he's very much enjoying the challenge. The game developers put a lot of love into the design of this game too. Great purchase!

Four stars because it is a great crash Bandicoot game. However, don't be fooled... it is much more difficult and convoluted than the original trilogy. The developers took the original concept and made some equally awesome and frustrating additions. This game is fantastic for casual gamers, or gamers with a lot of time, but if you're a busy adult and have many games on your list, you may find this game very fun but also overly long and irritatingly tricky. Great game to beat straightforward, but if you want 100%, be ready to invest some time. BTW, posted by someone who enjoys the likes of God of War and Doom Eternal on the highest difficulty.

Maybe I'm slowing down as I get older, but damn there are some really tricky feats required in this game. The phase shift switching in the middle of a jump will drive you insane. Otherwise it's a great game with really nice graphics. Your reflexes just need to be razor sharp.

I got this game for Christmas and I was happy to play, but when I started to play it, it was horrible. controls are off a bit, and the game play is complete garbage. it looks like a crash bandicoot game but it is NOT ! it's like most of it wasn't even tested before putting it into the buyers market , enough said 😒.
