okay, not only is this cute as heck, unlike the normie butter dishes, you don't get butter all over the sides of it when you're handling it, so it doesn't get slippery. maybe you don't have that problem, but i've got kids.when i explained to my youngest how it works he declared that we were living in 2040.but TELL YOUR HUSBAND HOW IT WORKS. mine inverted the water holding part so as to reassemble the whole shebang at thanksgiving dinner because somehow putting the butter holding part back the way he got it seemed a little too ... i don't know, outside the box for him at the moment? oof.you'd think it was pretty self explanatory, but apparently you really do have to explain it to everyone at least once.10/10 do recommend.

I've had this for about nine months and I really like it. I was very worried that the butter wouldn't stay in the bell during the hotter months, but my AC went out this week and even in 80F kitchen temps the butter stays in the bell, soft and spreadable. The bell is also very stable on the counter or table, another thing I worried about given the design. Quite pleased with this purchase.

This is a hit! Everyone in my house loves it.
