Great Product.

After badly burning our bathroom sink on two separate occasions with my curling wand, I realized something needed to change. I considered throwing it away before it caused further damage to my home, but I realized there was still a potential for my straightener or other curling irons to cause damage to my sink or counters, even if I didn't use the wand anymore. I looked up heat resistant mats here on Amazon and this was one of the first options that came up and had the best reviews.This mat really is incredible! I tested it the day I got it by using my curling wand at 400 degrees and resting it on the mat instead of the sink or directly on the counter. The mat still remains completely undamaged after it's run-in with my curling wand. I felt the counter underneath it when I was finished, and it was hardly even warm.I was a bit surprised at how small the mat is. I'm sure the dimensions listed are correct, but I hadn't paid attention to that when I bought it. The smallish size won't be a problem for me, as I never use more than one styling tool at a time anyway. If you plan to use a several irons at once, I would advise getting a second mat.

This is big enough for both my hair straightener and my curler to be on it at the same time. It's simple and looks great. It also keeps both of them from slipping off the edge of the counter! My one complaint is that it attracts dust and hair like crazy because of the material its made out of. Overall though I am very happy with this product and my life is much better with it!

My wife got me to buy this for her curling iron. She sets her curling iron on the edge of the bathroom vanity and always worries about it falling off or burning something. So I "done buyed it". I was truly surprised how effective it was in meeting her needs. The thing does not seem to burn. It definitely is not slippery as it has a somewhat soft rubbery texture. And that same property keeps it from slipping around the marble vanity top. My wife is thrilled. So now I bought one for each of my daughters. If I had granddaughters I would buy each of the one also. This product perfectly fits the need for which it was designed. It's a keeper.

I was living in the dark ages and always left my hot tools on the floor so they wouldn't damage anything until I realized how stupid and unnecessary that was, so I bought this mat and its perfect! It's small and rubbery enough to keep the tools from slipping off my vanity. This mat has a little more height than others I was looking at and I figured it had a higher chance of not transferring heat to my vanity, which is true. I really don't know why I never bought one before, my morning routine is easier on my back now cause I don't have to bend to pick my straightener up off the floor.

Mat works just fine for me, my curling wand isn't that heavy and it has a stand on the base and the tip so it doesn't necessarily sit directly on the mat. The box style on the under style probably helps the heat. Afterwards my carpet is warm but not alarmingly so. I was using a round kitchen heat mat that is used in the kitchen but it was too small.The size of this mat is perfect too. Can't really see the line design on it since it's black it all blends to me but I don't care about that.

This is a great little product. It is perfect for flat iron, curling iron, or hot brush. It fits nicely on your counter and does not take up much space. You can have more than 1 tool on it at a time. 2 is probably the limit for maximum protection. When you are done using it, the mat is not hot to the touch. This is great. You can store it away without worrying about it. It does a great job at protecting the surface of your counter top. It is flexible, and not rigid or hard. You can easily move or manipulate it, while tools are on it. I recommend this product!!

We use these for curling and flat irons. We don't worry about counters getting burned. Will order again if or when needed. Worth the price.
