A Truly Wonderful Sound-Moving Cable by SEBSON...
Okay. By now you know I love me a really good cable - who else would sit down and write a hundred words on a bit of wire. I got quite the splendid gift from my mother for Chrimbo this year. Does anyone remember the term "music centre"? Yes? No? Well it's one of those but a modern one, in that it boasts: Record deck, CD, TF, SD and USB slots, a side mounted cassette deck, FM radio, aaaaannnnddd Bluetooth. Aha! Big prize there. Well, again if you know my reviews, any "speakers" or "headphones" supplied with such kit are ALWAYS crap. Always get your own good ones somewhere and keep hold of them. For my 2x2 four-speaker not-quite-surround system in the room I am confined to most of the time (disabled badly), I've had two powered/amplified SoundBlaster speakers. I love em, so I keep em going until they play their last note! So it was that I required a new cable, and for this craving I turned to Sebson's 0.5m Phono/RCA audio cable two male to two male plugs. These just scream quality. Their advert on Amazon says (quote): "Stable sound without noise and signal interference, thanks to the gold-plated RCA plugs. Secure and stable hold ensured by the metal housing, PVC coating, and bend protection for extended durability." And you know what? They're not joking or trying to fluster you, once I tried them, I got such lovely, clean sound from the "entertainment ensemble" that I was most impressed. I would totally unreservedly recommend these cables to anyone looking for quality unblemished sound transfer! Check out the image to see how the thing all fits together. These cables have become a vital part of the setup now! Bang on! Excellent cables - and they come in all sizes....

Great Quality - Audiophiles Look Away!
This was a great quality, great build cable for the price - obviously cables are cables and there's always a call to be delicate with them, especially where the cable joins the interconnect. I've never had a cable fail in my possession, even the cheapest of the cheapest. So can't comment on more fierce wear and tear. In my situation this was for a permanent installation - the cable isn't going to be moving after it's in place. As for quality, I'm afraid to say that I can't hear any difference between this and my cheaper cables - nor is there any difference between this and my more expensive QED cables. I'm not an audiophile but the equipment in question would definitely reveal any noticeable sound issues. And the equipment will also be the factor moreso than the cable itself. Cables are a big industry and don't get sucked into spending more than you need. The bottom line is unless you're using equipment in the thousands of £ range, I'm sure this cable will suffice! It doesn't say anything about having an OFC conductor but again, in this price bracket and for this length (10m) I doubt in 'real world' terms it's going to matter.

Excellent value. Much better than the cheap/free ones from a quality perspective
Reviewed March 2024: I claim to be a bit of an 'audiophile on a budget'! I've 2 pretty decent stereo set ups (in different rooms) that would have been highly reviewed 15-20 years ago. (meaning I'm a cheapskate who wants quality). Used this to hook the CD to my amplifier, they are stacked on top of each other and don't need any kind of length to connect them. I used a cheap interconnect in the short term thats in my box of misc cables, but replaced with these. Looks and feels well made. The plugs fit onto the connectors perfectly well, they are clearly colour coded and they work. Are they better, I'm not sure how much is in my head vs reality, and without any subjective way to test, I think so. If I need more, I'd buy again.

Excellent audio quality over 1m
Ok i know the cables are not screened, cut into one and you will NOT see a centre signal wire covered by a braided screen. (They spent some of the money on gold connectors not on the cable, the rest is profit for them). That being said the audio quality through these cables is very impressive. A very happy customer, who is fussy about his audio sound quality. As a general rule these cables dont pick up any noise or crosstalk over 1m length, (exception being if the cable was run parrallel to another cable with a strong unsheilded signal on it.) (cables crossing each other at 90deg dont pick up much crosstalk anyway.) As a general rule if your doing long runs of cable you would use balanced line with converters at each end back to phono, OR straight into PRO AUDIO GEAR using balanced line connection both ends. When you look at the signal wire (centre core on a good screened cables) its usually a multi-core, Look at a single strand on that multicore, the High frequency signal will mainly travel only on the outside surface of that single strand. (Hence why some manufactures started using Oxygen free copper to stop the surface layer of a copper strand from oxidising and corroding and effecting the HF transmission, weather this Oxygen Free Copper makes any difference is debatable.) The low frequencys will use all the CSA of that strand. I rember a review of speaker cables in a posh audio magazine, they compared platinuim speaker cables with oxygen free speaker cables with mains mulitcoes cable. Guess which speaker cable gave the BEST sound, the mains multicore, paying more for a cable does not necessary mean better sound quality.

Sebson Phono Cables
I have recent built up an old 1990s HiFi,and wanted to connect the units with some good quality phono cables. I picked Sebson to do the job,and boy oh boy, they deliver. The cables are very well made, and look the part. If they made TosLink cables,I would fit them. Thanks Sebson

Also schnell entsorgt und schön kurze Kabel geholt.
