My Dell Latitude needs the 0G74G style, which I found by opening up my laptop and checking part numbers. You want to do that every time you want to order a battery because Dell (and others) will repeat computer model numbers, and sometimes the same model number will take a different battery.After verifying battery number and shape, I ordered this battery. Another reviewer mentioned getting no pry tool and screwdrivers, but I got what is pictured in the Amazon listing, plus two more screwdriver sizes in the box. So I got a total of one pry pick (medium/hard guitar pics can work too BTW) and four screwdrivers.The listing's instructions are a good guide, however I had an additional place at the base of the battery where a the cable that goes to the motherboard needed to be disconnected, and routed through slots in the new battery. Not a big deal once you have it open and you see what you have.This battery was sized correctly and everything worked and took a full charge fine once I had the laptop buttoned up. This replacement battery was a breeze to replace my old one. It holds a charge for a long time and it feels like I have a new laptop.

I purchased my laptop with the higher wattage/hour battery and have LOVED the long time between charges. After several years of use I had to leave my laptop plugged in for long periods to test a Microsoft program issue. I've heard that's terrible for battery life--and sure enough, my battery would only last 3-4 hours after that. This replacement is at 95% charge right now and showing 10h 46m remaining. PERFECT specs in my book!!

Purchased 9/2019. Not quite as long lasting as the original was when new, but after 18+ months, it is holding a charge and far better than any other 'cheap Chinese knock-off' battery I have ever bought. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

Ordered this battery in September, 2019, installed it in my laptop and it worked great until mid-February 2020 when the battery failed completely. Contacted the vendor through Amazon and within one day a new battery was on its way to to me by expedited shipping. The vendor continuously checked in with me during the process to ensure my satisfaction. The new battery is now installed and working well. I'm hoping that the battery will last longer this time but regardless I'm very happy with the quick and courteous customer service.

The original battery on the Dell notebook was failing (ballooning) and this was a purchase to replace that one. This battery was a perfect solution and was much less costly than purchasing one from Dell (who obviously did not have a good product to begin with!). Very pleased with this purchase.

This laptop (Dell Latitude 5420) had been displaying a blinking amber battery light, which usually indicates a bad battery. The replacement battery, though not a genuine Dell battery, solved the issue. The battery shipped quickly and was easy to install. I would purchase from this vendor again.

This is my second battery from them, but I’ll tell you this one didn’t even last a year. Extra extraordinary.
