Excellent Product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: It does not require separate door open/close switches to be installed with extra wiring. It has a wireless door position sensor that is lithium coin cell powered that you mount (with double-sided tape) to the top of your garage door. VERY convenient! Using the Smart Life/Tuya app allows you to see if the door is open or closed and allows you to perform either activity on demand, no matter where you are. Excellent Product at a bargain price!

Doesn't work with Gemini as opening requires a PIN.
Doesn't work with Google hands free anymore. Since Google is forcing everyone on Gemini, because the app on this device requires a PIN to open the door, Gemini isn't smart enough to ask for the PIN like Google Assistant did. While not 100% the blame of the item and the app, some of the blame goes on Google for forcing us to a new AI model that can't do what the old model did. But still... if I didn't need a PIN to open the door it wouldn't be a problem. Will probably be returning the item as it's useless. I thought My Q was bad not even integrating into Google home, but at least I can open the door with one click. Not 3 clicks and a PIN.

It's supposed to be "universal" fit, instead it comes with a list of with which it will just not work. And it happens that it's not compatible with mine. Waste of time.

Great Price, works well, Google Home Tip!
I'll just list the troubleshooting steps first: My instructions included no information in regards to resetting the device. It refers to a page that doesn't exist in the manual. When I first powered on the main device it wouldn't go into pairing mode. I figured out by searching online that if I held down the button for at least 5 seconds until the light turned off and then back on, it would reset. That allowed me to connect it through the Smart Life app. However, it didn't state in the manual that you have a very short time (approximately 2 minutes) to pair the sensor that sticks onto the garage door to the main device. So I ended up having to remove it from the app, factory reset, and set it back up again in order to get the sensor to work. So if you have any trouble right off the bat the correct procedure would be to: 1. Plug the main device into power, wait approximately 30 seconds, press and hold the on/off button for at least 5 seconds or until you see the light turn off and then back on. It should start flashing rapidly. If it's flashing slowly, try to reset it again. Then quickly opened the app, click the + sign, add the device. Then while holding the door sensor close to the main device, tap the learn button a few times. I didn't have any changing lights like the manual says. It just worked after that. Now that you have it all up and running if you want it to work with Google home and actually open and close when you ask your phone or speakers to open or close the door. Closing won't be a problem. Opening the door will require you to give your phone or speakers a PIN code. This is normal but the smart life app isn't really intuitive in regards to where you set the code. Open the smart life app, tap on your garage door opener (not open or close), then if you look at the picture that I attached it shows at the very bottom left corner what looks like a bell and in my case it says alarm right below it, tap the bell, then tap set password (as shown in my second screenshot). I've only had this for a short time but it's worked great so far. I normally like to wait a little bit before writing a review however I wanted to write this before I forgot all the information above. Amazing deal in my opinion for $20! The only reason I'm only giving it four stars is because of the lack of reset/AP mode instructions and the part of the manual that says it should flash red and blue when pairing the sensor (which it only flashes red) in the manual. Instructions could be massively improved or they could at least put the instructions that it seem to be missing in the description of the listing. I'll also mention that Wi-Fi is complicated, a lot of people simply don't understand how it works. Or, they're stuck thinking it works the way it did years ago. This device works perfectly fine with a mesh network. If you have a problem, it's not probably this device and it's most likely either user error or a cheap/old router or mesh setup.

Easy installation
Just installed this. Awesome product and I don’t write many reviews. Easy install if you have half a brain. Works great!

Great product but I get quite a few false alarms for door open due to the type of sensor used for indication, also the sensor is only good for up and overs not roller shutters, I bought three of these, two for up and overs and one for a roller shutter, the flare alarms are from the up and overs generally, normally when it’s windy
