Works well.I dont believe it's as strong as the maginet strength advertised but it is pretty strong.Comes with extras such as a batman gaf hook so that's pretty cool.

We bought this for our boat we keep in upstate NY. Everyone loves trying it when they visit. We have found name brand sunglasses in amazing shape. I found a huge wrench I later sold for 100 bucks. My husband also lost an EarPod in 7 foot of water. We dropped in the magnet and he got it. Let it dry out and it still worked. I lost my favorite lure in our fishing spot. Well I didn’t find mine but within an hour found 10 lures. This product does exactly what it states. Our nephews spent hours having a blast and found some nice trinkets. Great price for a top quality item!

Husband got this so I'll let him tell about it.Hello, For weeks I've been looking for a Magnet Fishing Kit, but the ones I've seen most people questioned the magnets power, so I kept looking.I finally found the King Kong Magnet kit, read what they say and the customer reviews, I ordered it and love it. I got it Monday Night and late Tuesday morning I was tossing it around Acworth Beach.IF something is found, I honestly believe this magnet will not let it go until you say so. LOLI'll bet this thing can pull a 1961 Cadillac out of the water, this thing is that strong.I did make one mistake with it and ALMOST lost the thing. I tossed it from an IRON BRIDGE and as I was pulling the magnet up, a gust of wind caught it and blew it onto the bridge and I almost never got it back.I stopped another fella and asked if he could help me pull on the rope to get this magnet back, even with the both of us pulling we could not free the magnet from the bridge, so when you hit something, it's coming up! (I wasn't leaving without my magnet, so yes I did get it back).Everything is good quality stuff, the rope, the gloves, the hook... I have zero complaints and would be out there tossing the magnet now, but it's too cold outside.I do want to get a hard case for it next, but that will be after the holidays.

To be honest, I did not believe that it was 1200 lb of pull force. And I tried picking up smaller items that would be like a mixed steel cheaper steals. And it seemed somewhat strong but wasn't very impressive. But then I made A BIG MISTAKE and stuck it to a 12-in cast iron pan! I'm a big strong dude, and with both feet standing on the pan and both arms wrapped around the rope, with all my right I could not pull this magnet from the pan! I thought I was going to snap the rope, but I didn't. TO AVOID STRAINING OR SNAPPING THE ROPE I HAD TO SLIDE IT OFF SIDEWAYS. And so far we've caught a bunch of stuff out of the river. From small to large items. It's nice to have the option two different ways to pull from, with the two eye hooks
