I wanted to try a more natural laundry detergent because both my children under 6 are suffering from dry skin. I can’t attest to it helping with the children’s skin, but I do feel better about not putting perfumes into our clothes. This one has done a great job washing baby clothes, towels and regular laundry items. My young son’s clothes become very dirty after playtime outside and they always come out clean. All the laundry has come out smelling very clean and fresh. The honeysuckle scent is very pretty. We also use the honeysuckle scented room spray in the nursery and on linens as it is aerosol-free. I followed the instructions on the bottle for the correct amount of detergent to use and I was surprised at how little I needed to do the job. Considering the price, I am going to try the brand Nature Clean next. Nature Clean’s price point is better and Nature Clean products are manufactured in Canada. This is important to me because it boosts Canada’s economy. Mrs. Meyers is not a Canadian company. Overall, it’s a beautiful laundry soap. I will be repurchasing if Nature Clean does not display the same good, cleaning quality and enjoyable scents.

This is such a great product. With my wife having high sensitivity with smells and her skin. This is perfect. No skin irritation, the smell is just right now overpowering and cleans our clothes just like other detergents with out any residue. This is also long lasting this bottle lasts us so long since not a lot is used. Add the dryer towels and fabric softer and its the perfect combination. I was hesitant to try and i have now been using it for over 6 months and its amazing still. Will never go back!

Smells lovely I don’t think it cleans a really soiled load unfortunately but love smell and idea of natural cleaning products

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Laundry Detergent Liquid lives up to its claim that it “packs a punch when it comes to removing dirt and grime”. Dirt, grass stains, tree sap, and any other natural stain, this product works wonders on its own. I will admit, motor oil stains and grease are not affected by this product. It is important to remember, not every stain can be tackled by a single product alone, sometimes it takes elbow power and baking soda to break down the tough stains, especially when it comes to the grit and grime a mechanic comes home with on their clothes. I would challenge any other laundry detergent to tackle those types of stains alone to see how they fare! The honeysuckle scent is my favorite by far. The scent is fresh but not too overpowering that deters the patriarchs of the family. One reviewer, Morgan Mettler, noted that after a night in the washing machine, the scent of Mrs. Meyers did not last, and the whole load smelled of mildew. I myself am guilty of having a load of freshly cleaned clothes staying in the washing machine for 12-24 before moving it to the dryer however, I have never experienced the smell of mildew on my clothing using Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Laundry Detergent. I would chalk the smell of mildew up to the machine itself, not the detergent. I regularly run a small load of white towels with bleach of which I attribute my lack of mildew smell to. Another possibility may also be that there is an insufficient amount of detergent being used for the load size. The direction for use suggests “For an ordinary load, 1/2 capful for an ordinary load, 3/4 capful for an extra-large or particularly filthy load of clothing” I would recommend assuring the directions are being followed as the manufacturer suggests. Another review caught my attention that I believe warrants addressing. Bipasha made the comment “Extremely disappointed. Have purchased this laundry detergent for store several times This is watered down version. NOT the same consistency. This is not the first time where I feel hesitant in buying something from Amazon because the quality can’t be trusted. I do give in to sometimes due to convenience but mostly will be very reluctant to order stuff where quality matters from Amazon. Please increase the staff in your quality department. And make sure FAKE and low standard products don’t get through.” I checked, Mrs. Meyers does not make a watered down version, nor has it ever had a batch recall due to an increase in water content. It sounds as though what Bipasha is claiming is that Amazon has somehow tampered with the quality of the Mrs. Meyers product. I would disagree with this claim considering Amazon is only a distributor of products. Overall, I am impressed with Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Laundry Detergent because it performs as well as other detergents I have used without the harsh chemicals. The value set and commitment to the environment is something I share with Mrs. Meyers brand and loyally support their product because of it. I would highly recommend trying this product.

I decided to buy this based on articles rating best laundry detergents. The scent is very nice and I was hoping it would be long lasting but alas, I didn't feel much of it after I removed the clothes from the dryer. The bottle had leaked during shipping despite having some seal to prevent leakage. Overall, it's a nice detergent but I wouldn't buy it again as it's a lot pricier than other detergents I used and the quality is about the same.
