The Parker 48R is slightly heavier than most safety razors at 3.4oz or 95g. Beautifully finished in matte gold the Parker 48R was launched in spring 2010 to great reviews. The handle is 90 mm long which balances perfectly with the weight of the razor. To change the blade simply unscrew the handle and the 2-piece head comes off allowing you to quickly, easily and safely replace the blade. The Parker 48R is tremendous value for money to buy and it takes all double edge safety razor replacement blades which are so economical to buy compared to Mach3 and others of that ilk; not only that but the double edge safety razor replacement blades give a better shave, are kinder to your skin (one edge not a multiple edge blade) and they last longer too.
