This oil is OK but not awesome for me. It has an orange scent but it doesn't stick around long. It smells like olive oil after application--and that sticks around for a bit. The product can make your hair excessively oily if you aren't careful. The pump is difficult to use...it seems to stick, so if I wanted only half a pump, that is just not going to happen. I have used other products that I think are better and won't purchase this one again.*UPDATE* I am downgrading my review by 2 stars to one because the more I use it, the more I can't stand the oily smell it leaves after I put it on my hair. It lingers until I shampoo. Plus, I still can't get the pump to cooperate and can't use only half a pump so my hair isn't oily/greasy. This is fine for a weekend conditioning, with a shampoo after because of the smell, but I won't be using this anymore as part of my regular styling routine. Even my face is oily, ugh!

I've been using this product for almost a week and honestly don't see much of a change. I get the orang essence smell when first applied but it disappears quickly. I agree with other customers that there is a rancid oil smell, but I found this to be the case when too much was used. Which brings me to the amount to use. Yes, a little goes a long way. If you use too much, your hair will be greasy and lifeless not to mention that you just have an all over oily feeling until your next shampooing. I encourage Nordic Bliss to re-engineer the pump. It is not easy to use and you either get too little with one pump or too much with two. There was not an issue with the condition of the product when it arrived. It was nearly packed and the lid taped. Not sure I would buy this product again.

I have really thick, really long hair (mid back). It is naturally curly (well a mess of curly here and wavy there and frizzy over there). I am always looking for a product to help keep my hair healthy. With hair as long as mine and constantly using the straightener and coloring it, even washing is enough to cause more damage. So I try to find good products to baby it. This sounded heavenly for my hair and I often try to do homemade treatments to keep it healthy. This seemed easier and offered better oils and such then I can mix at home so I gave it a try. I also wanted my 17 year old daughter to try it ~ she is a heavy colorer and is naturally strawberry blond so between the color and summer sun & pool her hair is a bit beat on the ends. I have mixed feelings ~ it was great for me...not so much for her. This one I really think will depend on your hair type. (Which I will get to!)This was shipped in a plastic bag which was good because the bottle was slightly oily when I got it out. It wasn't all over it, but I think a little bit of the oil seeped out. It's in a pump which is convenient and the bottle size is actually a pretty generous amount considering how little you really need. I think even with my long, thick hair this will last a while ~ and I will maybe only use it once a week or so after trying it.It smells very good. It is a very subtle smell and I don't really notice any smell once on my hair as my other products are stronger. This is just a subtle, clean smell. I don't think it could possibly be offensive to anyone. I do not like strong smells, especially perfumey smells and this did not bother me at all ~ even if my hair had smelled like it, it would have been fine because it really is soft and nice.I decided to use this on towel dried hair. Often I will do an oil treatment before washing, let it sit for a half hour to an hour and then wash my hair as normal but the company recommended towel dried hair so I followed that. I immediately noticed how thin and oily it is ~ like do not pump it into your hand over top anything you do not want ruined because it runs - fast! I wanted to pump it into one hand and rub my hands together to put it through my hair and this was hard without it dripping all over. I didn't put it to my roots - or even near them. This is an oil treatment and they aren't kidding. Once my hair dried I did feel like it was softer and far less frizzy than is typical, but it did feel slightly greasy to me. I would not suggest using this and then using a heated tool, like a straightener the same day. Once I took the straightener to it, I felt like my hair looked kind of greasy and clumpy. The next time I do a treatment I am going to wash my hair at night and put this on. I think it will just soak in by morning and styling will be easier. I have very thick hair, I would say it is a medium coarseness. I would use it again and it is far more convenient and smells much better than a home made treatment.My daughter on the other hand...not so good. She has longer hair, right below her shoulders, but her hair is fine. It is medium thickness but very fine and this did not work well for her. If you have fine hair I really think this will be too much. She also applied it to damp hair and when it dried it looked greasy and clumpy and just not clean. It was not good and she was not very happy. Even after washing (which she did almost immediately) her hair still just looked weighed down and flat. And she did not go to her roots so it really just made her hair look dirty, greasy dirty. Now...it DID help the dry look of the ends from processing, but at the cost of looking dirty? I would be very cautious if you have thin or fine hair and try this.I find it a very nice, occasional treatment to bring some life back to dull hair. It really did give mine back some shine like it had a good drink. BUT again, my hair is thick and coarser. Fine or thin hair is going to risk this being way too oily and heavy. It is also not something I would use any more than once a week because it is such pure oil I could see it building up on the hair and doing the same thing regardless of your hair type. But if you have dry hair looking to have some life back, this WILL bring you back some shine and softness!I can't speak for anyone else, but I take my reviews seriously ~ I hope I have given some information that that has helped you out! This is one of the most amazing product i've put in my hair! This is the first organic hair oil that i've noticed it has jaboba which is a carrier oil that not only is gentle on skin but truly penetrates the essential oils into the skin. My hair is so soft, radiant, shiney, and so much easier to straighten which means less heat damage and no more worries of frizzy hair or frequent hair cuts. I'm finally able to grow my hair out thanks to this phenomenal product. My hair not only looks great it smells amazing and a little goes a long way. It doesn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy. I absolutely love this product and it replaces all the other products i've spent hundreds of dollars on. If you truly want healthy hair radiant hair without the harsh chemicals then look no further!
