Great product for someone
I just want to say. I absolutely love that this camera has a really good clear picture/video and is so sturdy. I never got the back camera installed because I realized after a day or so that the front camera is thick in body and does not sit flush against the mirror. Therefore, it doesn't tilt far enough to see the road without you having to tilt the entire camera up. Then if the rear cam is not installed, you can't see your rear view in the front when the screen times out. I had to keep fighting with it. Until I finally just gave up and decided to return it.Easy to installgreat picture/videosturdyOverall, a really great dashcam just not for my car (Nissan Rogue SV).I'm gonna give it 5 stars because it may be perfect for other cars.

Very pleased with this product
To be clear, I paid only $50 for this very, very good 10'' Mirror Dash Cam. It was actually 50% off, so my review will consider that I did not purchase an Apple Laptop. It is important to understand that the touch screen is shaped as a rear-view mirror. It is placed on top of your existing mirror, so you will use the screen to view what it behind you and NOT your mirror (you still have the two side mirrors). The positive side is that you get a lot wider view of what is behind. The definition, both day and night, is excellent. You can adjust the brightness and can tell the camera to activate night vision. The camera has many good features. The one I like best is, when properly installed and when you enter the car in reverse, it shows the green, yellow, and red lines to guide you.I have NOT tried the recording feature, but for what I read it is a very good feature. You will need to purchase a good quality and fast SD card. The instructions are NOT the best, but you still can manage to install the cam. Don't expect to be an easy job as they claim. If you own a SUV, you are for a lot of difficulties. They recommend that you install the camera on or above the license plate and run the wire inside to the trunk of your car. Well, most SUV's have the license plates on the back door, so you need to remove the panel of the door to be able move the cord. Some SUV's have the backup light on the door and others not. For the parking assist guides, you need to attach a provided cord to the light. The frosted protective film on the mirror screen works great (you need to install it), but it reduces the clarity. I was wearing dark sunglasses and had to replace them by others with less darkness. When I decide to add the SD card to the cam, I will update this review.

Good Purposeful Camera
For the price, not bad. 1080p is fine to capture an incident, but not for reading plates.Should you pay more for better quality images? Not really. This one will do. Night vision is where a 2.4k or above image resolution will make a difference. But again, it's the incident that counts. To avoid experiencing the negative reviews, some suggestions to make the install quick and easy and a better user experience:1. Make sure everything is in the box.2. Before install, connect all parts FIRST, plug them in, and make sure the cameras work and the images are clear and ALL functions work.3. PLAN your install before you start. Figure out where and how your wires will be placed. The hardest part will be the rear camera cable placement. If you don't know where the passthrough is to the rear on your vehicle, search the internet.4. Rear camera placement: If you don't want to mount the camera out by the license plate, mount it inside the rear window. Mount up near the roof for a better view out and down. That way, no need to connect the red backup wire and it is easier to tuck the cable in the headliner.5. Rear camera placement outside: Mount the camera to the RIGHT of the license plate. Not the left or center. The camera's field of view is biased to the left. If you connect the red backup wire, you must adjust on the screen how the view looks when put in reverse. The guidelines are useless if the camera is mounted higher than the bumper.6. Clean your camera lenses when finished with the install. You WILL smear them.7. Go into Settings and make adjustments to fit your requirements. Date, time, resolution, etc.Glare issues. This is a mirror first. When adjusting, treat it as a regular reflecting mirror. The streaming video is secondary. You cannot see both at the same time. You have the option of turning off the video streaming and still record. Says so in the manual.Or, if you want to view streaming video mode only, tilt the entire mirror down to show only the video streaming screen and not the reflecting surface. Most of the negative reviews I've seen could have been avoided using the steps indicated.Quality control issues can also happen with more expensive units. This one is a bargain. My $230 cam died after 2 months, taking another month for a replacement to arrive.

Good rearview mirror cam
Only used a few days, so this is my initialimpression. I have another brand mirrorcam in another car that has lasted 5 years and counting, but could not findit available so I got this one. First the good. Good quality image, easy to install, easy menu interface, night visionOK, quick screen response and adjustment, and of particular notice is the auto off Screensaver, since my car accessory plug does not power off withignition switch. Just touch the screen topower on and after car is shut off unit will shut off to a low power stage in 13 or 5 minutes depending on choice.Parking setting can also be set to detectInterference with car while parked. Veryhappy so far. Oh the bad. Not much, justsome glare at night though not as bad as my other cam. Will update as needed.
