Pumped UP...
Super powerful and quiet pump. I needed replacement pump for indoor fountain that needed to start out going 4 feet vertically and this one did so easily. Reading all the charts provided by so many manufacturers made no sense to me so eventually I just made an educated guess and was spot on. I'm sure I could have dialed it back a model or two but having 4 other indoor/outdoor fountains I'm sure this experience will pay off in the future, Pump works great was priced fairly, built solidly, and arrived quickly so that is all anyone can ask in my opinion. Also comes with 3 adapters to accommodate other tubing sizes. PEACE OUT

Works Fine - But Note ENTIRE Pump Must Be Submerged
The base of my fountain typically has about 3.5" of standing water. While this is enough to more than cover the intake (circle) apparently air is leaking in at the valve on top or case seals along the back such that if any of the top of the pump is out of the water the flow provided is significantly diminished (at about 4' head). Unfortunately there is not space in the fountain base to lay the pump on it's side without kinking the tubing. I may try to find a 90-degree elbow but I imagine that will also diminish flow, and it appears only full flow is sufficiently for my medium-sized fountain.Filling the fountain to a brimming 4" does cover the pump and the flow is solid, noise is quiet. Unfortunately a few hours later due to splash and evaporation the top begins to emerge and the flow provided drops quickly.Otherwise the pump seems a good value for the money. Will search for a flatter pump with similar stats.

Lightweight, Low Power, 291 GPH Underwater Pump for Poultry Nipple Waterers
This is a great underwater pump and it really puts out a good deal of volume for its size and low amount of 115VAC power. It's cord is plenty long enough for my purposes and it is relatively quiet in operation. However for my application of using it for supplying water from a Brower heated horse waterer to poultry water nipples that I have installed in 3/4 inch PVC plastic pipe to provide a continuous supply of water, upon demand, for my Guinea Fowl, I much prefer the smaller pump the PP12005 which has a lower amount of pressure head and is somewhat more quieter. I purchased this particular model, the PP29105 as a backup for the PP12005 that I bought and in case I needed to increase the size of my waterer supply pipe and increase the number of waterers. In any case it is a great product and I expect it to be as reliable as the PP12005 since it is made by the same manufacturer.

VERY RELIABLE
I have been using PP29105 (291 GPH) in a homebuilt humidifier system, running 24/7 for 3 winters & it is a great pump! VERY RELIABLE. Still pumps after accidentally running dry! Definitely a great pump, reasonably priced.I also have the PP12005 (120 GPH) pump. After 3 weeks it quit working & FasterHarvest (formerly PonicsFarm) was very easy to work with & it was quickly replaced. In the meantime they kept troubleshooting the broken one with me & we actually got it running too! Their customer service is great! An interesting thing they told me is "The PP291 series has ceramic shafts and the PP120 series has stainless steel shafts. The ceramic is 3.1 times harder than stainless, so it will last longer. Our smallest pump with the ceramic shafts is the PP211 series."

DOESN'T STOP!
Doesn't stop! I use this pump in a bubbling fountain in a 40 gallon tub with about 24" head height. It runs 24/7 365. the only time I have an issue is when the water isn't there for the pump to pump (evaporates). If the water is there and clean it will just keep pumping. Sometimes small debris clogs it up and you can tell by a reduced flow. My pump is not easily accessible to clean, so I simply force water backwards through the whole fountain hose to pump by shooting my garden hose through it. Works like a charm. Is gets below freezing here and I put a low voltage water heater in the fountain sump to keep the water from freezing. Nothing prettier than to see my fountain flowing in 2 feet of snow and ice. Birds use it all year long.I would by again.

Not a bad unit.
I purchased this for my Aquaponics grow bed. I underestimated the gph flow at the desired lift so, while this pump works in cycling the grow bed. It does not fully fill all the plumbing I use in the grow bed. For example, I have two output tubes (All 1/2 inch sched 40) in the growbed, only one puts out a normal flow of water the other more or less drips and there is no obstructions. Only two of the three shower heads (again 1/2 inch) I have as aerators in the fish tank work, and the second one is weak. I ordered two more 800 gallon high lift pumps though I won't use them until this one fails as it does the job, albeit minimally. Seems well made though I can't accurately comment on the build quality as I have only had this for a short while. I it is very quiet in the fish tank. If your going to use it and have a high lift, mine was about 5 ft, definitely go bigger, better a little overkill than an under performer.

I would not recommend this pump for failure after 2 months of use.
This pump was fine for the 2 months that it worked. Water has been kept clean and the pump ran well during that time. But the pump died and was not clogged up at all. It just stopped working without warning. I would not recommend this pump to others for this failure. I now have to purchase another pump to replace this pump that replaced the original pump that lasted 3 years on its own running 24/7.

Works to Pump Ice Water Through an Immersion Chiller
I use this to pump ice water through my immersion chiller on brewing days. It is a cheap way to get more mileage out of your simple, inexpensive immersion chiller. There are instructions on the internet for how to use a bucket of ice water to supplement your immersion chiller. My intention is not to repeat those here. But know that this pump is sufficient for that purpose. Its flow rate is slower than you might get from your garden hose, but once the wort is below 100 degrees, the slow flow rate is fine (the warm wort doesn't heat the immersion chiller water as fast, so you still get the chilling effect). This is a very small device, likely to fit for a broad range of uses. And it works.
