Lots of ideas for unexpected visits
The photos are great and interesting in themselves, and there is a bit of information given about the various sites but for us the photos acted as stimuli to find out more and think about visits (when these become possible again. We've already got a lot of pleasure out of this book and are sure to do so in the future too.

Nice book but already some of the "abandoned London" sites have disappeared.
This is a great book to have if you want to explore London. It's a bit too large to carry with you but after a read of it, which doesn't take long and I did in one sitting I had a list of places I wanted to visit.I have a few books on London and this compliments them. There are a number of places I did not know existed and on a recent London wander I found a kiln in a street in Kensington which is now a preserved structure. Whilst that is not in the book, it does demonstrate that there are some real hidden gems in the city.On the downside, and the reason I have taken off a star is that some of the images are pretty old, ie Hendon Football Club and the site doesn't look like that anymore. The author does point out that some of the places highlighted in the book no longer exist but the book was only published a few months ago in 2021 so some old material is being used as a filler. It would also have been great if there was a map, grid reference, or directions to get to the places also. Also, I know a few of the places are not easy to enter, though fortunately, I did do the Abbey Mills Pumping Station highlighted in the book about 25 years ago. Would like to know, if and when access is available to these "secret London" sites.I note also that only a few of the images are by the author - probably a reason why some of the images are old, though the author has taken a selection. All in all a nice coffee table book which one can dip into before a trip to London with your camera.

No tourists in this London
Katie Wignall, who runs popular tours of London, knows the city inside and out. This is a wonderful book about forgotten places. Definitely no tourist queues here. Interesting captions with brief histories of the abandoned structures.

whole different look at London
for all you Anglophiles and London lovers, not your usual "pretty places" or historic buildings or famous people, but the gritty underside of a historic city; a great addition to my London library

Things to do in London, that you won't find in a typical tour magazine.
Believe it or not, I saw this on a side ad on Facebook. My spouse is a huge fan of everything London, so I bought this as a surprise for Christmas and they love it. They've already read through it twice, started following the author on Instagram and FB, and have reached out to them on email, to confirm a couple things for this summer. The book was definitely a hit, and very much worth the money!

Total rubbish
I got this for my wife as I come from London she lived with me there for 10 years before we moved to the Netherlands. This book has very few good pictures mostly random bits of London with no real explanation about the place or what they are taken of.If you want to see pictures of old London or a past forgotten.. donât but this if you want some pictures of some old closed down shops or a high street that was once derelict and is now just a bit of a slum go for itâŠVery expensive book of poor photos⊠I returned for a refund!

Nice book.
I bought this book to alter the pages with my own art. There are a lot of pictures with just signs but not being from London, it's a nice book to look at. Overall good size, nice pages, and clear pictures.
